facebook was kind of interesting in the beginning because it was basically a cleaned up myspace that you could post a lot more content to. After awhile I grew tired of hearing random peoples opinions on shit and found myself deleting lots of people. At first I wondered why people used Instagram because it was basically the same tihng as facebook but with way more restrictions. Same thing as Twitter.
What it comes down to is they have seperated out two key aspects of Facebook - Content (IG) and Opinions (Twitter) to be even more streamlined. Both platforms also open up your feeds to way larger audiences than just your friend list.
Ultimately I realized that I dont care about peoples opinions via virtue signaling / wall posting - I would rather pull those opinions and feelings from personal conversations rather than trying to grasp what or why someone is posting something with very little / no context.
majority of fb users now are over the age of 35 (you would be ~19 years old - university age- when facebook was first launched to students) and has become an echo chamber for people to bounce toxic ideas off eachother (just like twitter 4chan) via closed groups. there are some cool stuff on there like i am part of this Canada Skateboard Collectors group that is mostly older guys shop owners who do raffles for skate stuff.
fb is mostly wack though , not sure if this was troll post or not but that is how i feel about it
