This is entirely anecdotal but my local shop in SF is selling boards like "The HawK" just did the 900 lol, in January they broke
their monthly board sales record (300). For a tiny skater owned shop that is unreal , particularly when January tends to be a down month for sales. Just street skating in SF has been fucking sick, due to covid lots of spots became skateable and its funny seeing like 3 skate crews in the financial district just chillen. Not to be a contrarian and maybe its just a SF specific thing but the skate scene seems to flourishing under covid. With the world just being so fucked up , cops killing innocent people-covid-war-climate change-homelessness-racism ......... I feel like the world needs skateboarding more than ever.
