Me and my friend in Denmark always enjoyed his skating and discussed his part in Man Down when it came out. Sad news. There are too many skaters dying to early. My thoughts goes out to his friends and family.

Never had the pleasure of formally meeting Jesse, but I do remember seeing him destroy fair oaks skate park when I was a kid and tripping out how a dude his size had such finesse on a board. It was only later I learned who he was through the TMA vids and was even more stoked on his skating.

Jesse was a mentor to lots of younger skaters when I was growing up. His contributions to skating will last forever, but he also influenced a lot of us to be more than just skaters. I send my love to everyone in the Tilt Mode Army, and everyone else affected by this terrible loss. I hope someone can adopt his dogs and give them a happy home. I feel compelled to go to De Anza Park for my next session, and I hope to see some of you there. RIP Big Jess!

I think in an early Nestor Judkins interview he talks about how Jesse was basically his skoach on what tricks are cool. RIP to a legend.

Dude always seemed like a badass in the best way. Really stylish dude with a lot of finesse. I saw Black Cat when I was in middle school and his part stood out, even though the whole video is great. RIP.
