So what’s the best trick you pals have ever done?

For me, I did a switch 360 flip nose slide come out fakie and switch pop shuv nosegrind no touch pop out in the middle.  Mind you, I’m dumb old and no one was doing that at all

I did a run up bs kick flip off the top of the fountain in Hoboken by the ledges that everyone used to skate. Same trick Ron Knigge did in Children of the Sun

I also did a bs tail slide to regular at the white ledges down the 3 at Independence Mall Philadelphia the same day Josh Kalis did a switch bsts to fakie. It’s in an Alien Workshop 411 Industry Section.

Looking back on my skating from my high school years it amazes me that I could do nollie tres back then.  I could not imagine attempting to execute that maneuver currently.

I also did a couple memorable backside flips down gaps which I think would qualify as the best tricks I’ve ever done.

Front side flip a pretty decent gap. Didn’t think I’d land it just threw it out to land in the mulch at the end and ended up rolling away. Had some interesting pop shuv gap to manny combos going on that summer too.

Noseslide nollie flip. On the ledge behind Rush's Music Shop on the west side of town.

When I got that I sort of freaked out for a sec. I was 17, I think?

Hate to brag but I once ollied over an Entenmann's donut box while it was in the vertical position.  Not laid down longways like a pussy.

I've done an insane amount of ledge tricks but how do you judge?

my favourite was probably a halfcab flip noseslide 270 out or my switch inward heel tailslide shove out to reg.

from pure tech stand point it would probably be my switch flip bs tail 3 shove out.

Nollie back tail and switch crooks shove it out perfectly on a broken board; I had this night session back in the day and I cracked my board pretty quickly but I was skating so well I kept riding. I don’t even know how to explain it but the broken board gave me magical powers because in my mind I had to land bolts every time or my session would end.
I was skating round with this crew and they took me to this new ledge spot, it was aluminum with a big dent in it. I could already do nollie back tails and switch crooks and landed both within a few tries… why don’t I shove it out then? Was my line of thinking and both worked super easy for me on that even though I struggle with them 20 years later! The slide/ grind was a lot longer than what I normally could do too and the previously mentioned dent felt like it would give me extra pop on my exit!

Side note: On the way back to the station there was another group of skaters sessioning a flat bar and I just cruised down past them, whipped a quick 180 slide and switch board slid their whole rail and continued on my way still riding a broken-arse board.

In my tech mid-90’s days I could do inward heel flip tail slides on small ledges!

I once frontside flipped the pyramid at Babylon high school first try other than that I think the 2 Rick flips I did today were cool because I never landed that trick before

By total accident, I was trying heel flip FS noseslide, but locked into BS 180 nosegrind pop out fakie on a knee high block. Most memorable ollie the Gonz gap, then BS 180 the big 3, 2nd try at 3:00am drunk off of king cobra. I tried to str8 nollie that same night and got broke the fuck off...

1. Off a bump , to a higher out ledge - switch back tail.

2. On a different ledge that gets higher as you slide it. Switch nose / 180 to regular front nose. Kinda wonky but I was stoked at the time.

3. Pop shuv over a shopping cart of a sidewalk bump that was created by a tree root.

4. Nollie heel backside 5050 on a decent size hubba. It was at a skatepark but I was super stoked.

Full cab flip down a 3 block that’s probably equivalent to a small 8 stair. Also stuck a few bs fakie nosegrind to switch heel out. Haven’t got one yet but hopefully soon. Front blunt big flip on a curb/cinder block ledge.

Most technical was probably a Fakie bigflip, landed a couple last year...not done one on ages.

Best trick? I heelflipped a decent sized pyramid gap back in the early 00s.

I'm a very average ability skater so this stuff is all pretty peak.

I’m terrible at skating, but I did do a clean halfcab flip manual once and have it filmed on a shitty phone.

Also did a no-comply tre to fs 5-0 real clean once, that one puzzled everyone since I was bailing on everything that night and I just pulled it out of nowhere.

Half cab nose 270 kickflip or some flip in nose flip out combo, 360 flip nose wheelie nollie flip, or a switch inward heel down a double set. Those are some of the tricks I am pretty stoked and proud off. On the other side there are days where im just cruizing which give me more joy than these tricks did, skateboarding is not easy to have a judgement about.

I can’t break it down to one trick.i did a noseslide nollie 360flip once but that was on accident.
I did different flip to grind/slide tricks like Kickflip fs boardslide, kickflip 5-0 or kickflip bs tailslide.
and a switch 360flip on a mellow skatepark bank.
This is all the stuff that looks “good“ on paper but my
favorite is a backside flip over a pretty big puddle (probably my cleanest bs flip ever)
That’s about it!
I was never the most talented skater  ;D

idk, a noseslide nollie flip/nollie varial flip out or a 360 flip nose manual? i've never had the patience for tech tricks. my favorite trick i've ever done was either an ollie off a 3.5 meter tall garage, straight up drop without any distance to clear, or a fs flip over a trash can off a little ramp
