Hold tight Cvlt!

Doesn't look like any Huffers until Fall Drop 1 but Praise Cardiel its a good one...

... Wheel wells!

I think I have a big enough supply to see me through until then... and then I shall be dropping a full pay check on Wheel welled Huffers.
oh wow sounds great!

What would 9” ace af1 be best for on a huffer? Not much transition here but cruising and curbs?

Yes 9" axles can work well on Huffers.

And with wheel wells, it sometimes better to have a slightly wider truck as it pushes the wheels out to where the well is deepest.

Please do. I'd hate for interest to run dry and for my back up Huffer pile to shrink too much.

Just wanted to post a photo of my GrimpleHuffer now that it is broken in and beautiful. (Loving the green bottom ply)

I  was a little gutted  b/c 1) I had to get it form the Big Z 2) It showed up warped... But its turning out just great...

I'd just like to add that Pepper Galaxy grip is really complimentary to Huffers and will win you a lot of attention at the old man curb session.

Never thought I'd ever buy anything other than a popsicle but after thinking about it for the last year or so I was deciding between this and a P9 and thought this was the right choice. Currently have venture 5.8 and 58mm conical fulls. Can't wait to have a real sesh on it

Been thinking about setting up a few more boards, just for something else really, even though I have no issues with my current popsicles I am riding.

Grimple 9.1 egg shape = just doesn't work for me, tail way too tapered and pointy.

Huffer 9.1 shape = works very easily, on account of the bigger, wider tail, especially just going fast and not having a care in the world when I am riding it.

Black Label egg = could be a mini version of the Huffer, pointy nose, more rounded tail, easy to skate coming from a popsicle and trying an egg shape.

Huffer every time over any other shape board I am thinking, at least for what I want anyway.

* This was more just to show the differences / have a comparison of shapes, than anything else, not at all a shop post or sales pitch or anything like that.

Black Label 9" egg on the left
AH Huffer in the middle
AH 9.1" egg on the right

The tails look so square in the photo!

I just want to say, my huffer is still going strong, had a great sesh at the Costco curbs on it last month. I love the headless horseman grimple graphic so much nothing else has really compared. By far my favorite since the cardiel mescalero one

Same classic shape. Might look that way b/c they are in the shrink. These are both BBS 1 concaves. Shop got 3, I nabbed 2.

Those are cool. I’ve never had a board with wheel wells, I can think of a few set ups that would have benefited from them.

What’s the width over the axles on the Black Label egg?
I’ve been thinking about going back to the huffer, but I’ve really been enjoying 14.5” wb lately

I think it is about 8.7 or so - I had 149s and 159s on it, just to see - I prefer wider trucks so the 159s didn't stick out with medium sized wheels.  It is pretty good, like a mini Huffer shape really, 9 x 32 with 14.5 wb and yeah about 8.7 over axles.

A really good rounder tail just like the Huffer too.

I’m still omw to my first huffer. I’m having doubts about the setup I should be running on it. Does it want tiny wheels?
Should I get Aces for it? 60 or 66?

I have 159s and 169 on hand and I can go either forged or cast on both, and I have 1/8 risers.
I was planning on cast hollow 159 - and for a do it all setup. With 56mm wheels. 6’ bowls/4’ -5’ mini ramps and no complies on flat, boneless on banks. Old man stuff.

Can you guys point me in direction of some good huffer footy? What did the lord himself set it up with?

Sorry for 1000 questions.

8.75” trucks are the most preferred truck here, so Indy 159 or Ace 60 would work. I’d go for the Aces since the deck has a 14.75” wheelbase.

9” trucks will still work fine, they just hotrod a tiny bit

Wheels are a matter of personal preference

Agree with above, also consider thunder 151s  - great combo on the huff if you don’t mind a longer wheelbase. Still nimble. With 56mm classics it’s classy.

149s on the Huffer feel great too. I put them on because I didn't have any 159s a while back and was pleasantly surprised.

I've used 8.5" to 9" axles. All can work. Depending what you want to do. With the wheel wells I plan to use Ace Classic 55s as a 9" axle lines the wheels up better with the wells. I personally prefer Ace due to the relatively long wheelbase.

Indy stage 4s can feel really nice on it also. 151s.
