Looks to me like Ed  really does just copy shit out of his massive art book collection. Fake ass David Hockney swimming pool paintings. Didn’t even think up the logo to his company, just lifted it off a light switch plate or something equally as trife.

Did he just get a new house? I swear they've filmed this entire thing before.

This felt like an ON! video segment or something. really enjoyed this big time and wish there was way more content like this coming out on the thrasher site rather than random shop videos and other crap with people ive never seen before and will never see again.

@doublesteveburger same but part of me thinks Ed. Templeton's use of non archival house paints for his artwork might fuck up his art career. Collectors get really upset if they buy a painting and it degrades and falls apart because of "fugitive materials".

Jackson Pollock used Valspar.  but i guess the sheer volume of paint he used probably has an effect on the longevity of his pieces

I'm going to guess Sherwin-Williams, unless another poster wants to set the record straight with the actual brand he used.

Ed’s a creeper and shouldn’t be around teenagers or skateboarding in general. It pains me to say this because I admired him back in the day but can’t ignore the obvious.

Mostly his Instagram of going to the beach and taking photos of young unsuspecting women and then getting EXTREMELY defensive about it when people criticize it. In one case he even played victim when a women actually confronted him about it on the beach.

Not to mention Toy Machine soliciting a known rapist to do a graphic and then trying to sweep it under the rug when people called them out on it.

That Twitter exchange is a good example of whenever someone calls him out for doing that, his immediate response is how it's "legal". I remember a few years ago he went online to post about a woman confronting him and calling him a creep and he was shocked and appalled because it was "technically legal".

I dunno, it gives me no pleasure to criticize Ed/Toy cuz I grew up a massive fan, but this kinda behavior is so uncomfortable and not cool.

you guys are surprised a guy who was a skateboarder/artist his whole life, who has always had a history of being a weirdo, is an actual weirdo?

whether you agree with his creepy photos and comments or not, he hasn't physically harmed anyone.  he's just a fucking weirdo.  Welcome to the world!
