paul, wade, tiago, jb all great
tre williams, brian peacock and mclung stood out to me
franky villani is always an outlier here but love watching him skate
robert neal is corny, silvas fakes the style harder than anyone else

Agree about Robert Neal he’s the only one that doesn’t seem to fit. If you’ve ever seen Miles skate in person it’s obvious he’s not faking nothing. Dude can pull insane tricks back to back in a short amount of tries.

I don't get the Miles hate, seen him skate in person numerous times, dude is a beast and a really nice guy.

Anyone know what Wade's originally tunes were?

Wades songs in his part were the same at the premiere as the current version of define on YouTube

I love some Silvas footage. If he's a good dude that's even better.

Wow. Watched that in two chunks since I started it late last night. Really incredible work per usual.

Weird thing to call out, but I really like that Carlos and Miles both did difficult tricks on the bench before hitting the 14 at muirlands. I feel like historically people have just done a Nollie crook or something relatively simple, was fucked that they both did tech tricks on the bench before switch backside rail tricks.

maybe a one for the trend alert thread, but did anyone feel like a couple of dude's - especially the ones on nike - were matching there colour ways to the spots? carlos has the blue and yellow on the outledge sskf crooks with the yellow and blue sun shades in background, and i feel like marek was matching his shoes to the colours of the spot in a few of his clips too. on the kfbsnb, for instance.

That was a damn good video. Not the biggest Primitive fan but the team is unbelievably talented and productive. Carlos does tricks I dream about doing. Going to have to rewatch a few more times to really digest this one.

Prod is still so sick. Switch frontside shifty flip was surprising and awesome. Reusing the song was a nice touch too.

Wade D is immaculate. Blessed to get this part from him.

Miles Silvas is a guilty pleasure skater for me. I kinda like his jock style despite his criss-cross arms. He does everything proper and stomps his tricks.

Dylan Jaeb is perfect for Primitive. I'm a fan.

Trent is dope and really good, but I think it's just hard for him to stand out against the rest.

Brian Peacock might be the most lo key pro ever, so under the radar quietly ripping.

Always been a fan of Spencer Hamilton. He's done some of the best examples of flip tricks done alley-oop over handrails.

I was indifferent about Tre Williams until I saw this part. Definitely a fan now. Backside bigspin alley-oop over a rail was bonkers.

Franky is so so sick and I love that he's on Primitive. He brings much needed balance to the brand and he just rips.

Carlos is insane.
[close]

agree with everything. but how could you leave out tiago and niel from your highlights? those dudes were my top of the list parts.

You'll probably hate me for this, but Tiago just isn't really my jam. He's an objectively great skateboarder but it just doesn't quite hit for me. Probably all the switch mongo. And if the second person you're referring to is Robert Neal, well I just don't care at all about his skating and skipped his part on my second watch. Just my two cents tho.

It's at the very end of the song. Sort of like an outro till Up Against The Wall plays.

On a related note, I do have to give Strobeck credit for using Baby Pa from Group Home in a skate video and somehow making it cool to hear with that intro. I love that god damn album.

Spenny and franky were the standouts for me. Tre Williams also made me pay attention, something about that sw 5050 on the bank to rail was so perfect.

Yeah that was funny. Like why would you single that out, come on.

Just watched the video and managed to avoid spoilers.

Wade came out swinging for his part. Muni lines were fucked up. Think he even did handrail and hubba NBDs?

Brian Peacock is always fun to watch. So is Trent. Jaeb's back tail bigspin heel around the curve was tight.

Anyone got an ID of Biagio's bucket hat at 49:35? (Trick was also ridiculous)

Man, O’Neil was a lot more bearable to watch before he started dressing goofy. I’m all for having your own style but his fits are atrocious.

Wade is really one of the greatest Canadians of all time. Got me contemplating buying jerseys again. Good to see PRod footage, still a bit weird seeing him as the mentor to a new generation.

No one else thinks this dramatic editing is a little too much? Like the skating is otherworldly, but it just ends up being a little corny at times.

I'm all for hiphop, but a lot of the music was straight garbage lol

P-Rod and Wade were favs, and cool to see Tiago skate Oslo

I'm with you. It felt like they made a skate video for Netflix. Unbelievable skateboarding but I thought the pacing for a lot of the parts was off. In particular Taylor's and Carlos' part. The build up to the end of Carlos part was almost non-existent, and then it just ended on a trick that I personally don't think should've been his ender since I don't think he was locked in at any point.

Really like Tre Williams. He's come a long away since his Toy Machine/Dekline days.

Amazing shit top to bottom

Funny people here mentioning how amazing it is that Paul is still out producing, while I'm almost positive Wade is the exact same age.

Holy shit you're right. I assumed Paul broke 40 a while ago now but he's only 37

The intro with P-Rod also sampled the hook of Apache's Jump On it, throwback to Yeah Right, along with his use of Nas' Get Down. Super pinched on his SW BS Smith too.

There was no b-roll really, which sets it apart from baker and supreme et al.

Seems they were going for something a bit different with the slo mo and extra angles and they made it very watchable without going of the deep end into Ty evans territory

Tiago USC - Wade Muni - Miles Murilands - New Balance are ugly.
