shop.boutiquerollin.com

They've got ULC decks going for $66 with free delivery- but have never skated one...any Canadian (Quebec) pals have first hand knowledge of them? I've skated Studio and Latchkey decks and found both to have smaller tails I'd prefer but neither the shop page nor the ULC has any dimensions listed other than width. Thanks.

ssense isn’t a skate shop but they’ve got some polar decks for $48

https://www.ssense.com/en-ca/everything-else/designers/polar-skate-co

edit: a lot more brands actually

What the fuck even is that website? As someone who helps run a Canadian skateshop what a fucking bummer that all those distributors would sell boards to them.

it's a luxury clothing e-tailer based out of montreal, they're now the biggest such website in the world i think

super weird that they sell boards now, they do all their sale pricing algorithmically so i imagine some of those decks they're selling below wholesale

It's all stuff from Grand Trading.

Buying a deck sight unseen from them would stress me out...if it's warped who the hell would you deal with? Someone who sells high end fashion might not be the best to interact with a dirtbag trying to save money.

I looked through it again and I can't see anything that indicates final sale so returns should be possible under their normal policy (30 days). Larger companies in my experience usually have more seamless return processes so it might not be too bad.

All that said they probably don't store the decks with any care and I have mixed emotions about the whole thing. It's sad for all the small shops to see their business partner selling the same stuff they bought direct to closeout. Perhaps however it was a move Grand needed to make to stay afloat through a recession. I wonder if maybe there was a better approach to closeout the product within the industry though.

Damn those are some crazy deals but I can only find one 8.3 so far and not sure I wanna buy 4 decks ($200 for free shipping) sight unseen from brands I've never tried or even seen in person.

Also what's with that Rassvet brand and some of the decks being marked down from $180-$200 that's insane.

Think I might pull the trigger on 2x Quasi De Keyzer and 2x Pass-Port Candle Boot... Then I can decide if I prefer PS or BBS. That is correct right? Quasi PS Stix and Pass-Port BBS?

Yes on the decks and woodshops

Add some SML wheels to the mix they're a fun change up from F4.

Yes we use BBS/Generator for our shop boards at Ninetimes and get shapes as similar to DLX stuff as we can. Also have a good 8.6 and a 9.1 shape that we use for shop boards that are both fun to ride. Thanks for the shout out @Madam, I'm Adam and J!

^^ Add two pairs to your cart and the discount will automatically apply. The deal is good through Sunday. Birling is a great shop - pick up a shop tee or something too!

For the GTA slappers...was at SVP sports getting my kids stuff for their upcoming summer teams and they had both the Louie Lopez Cons (only blue) and Busenitz (only black) for $49...so if you're near one they've got random good deals on shoes.

They also had Nike O'Neils - which seemed pricey for what they are and all black (low) Tyshawns for $70.

SVP is really dope. I wish they had Half Cabs though...

They have Lizzies on for $50 right now in lots of sizes
these Grosso look dope too
https://www.svpsports.ca/collections/mens-collection/products/vans-unisex-skate-grosso-mid-shoes-5fcgwne

id probably get those if i couldnt find anything else on sale. I got Half Cabs for ~$60 off vans.ca at christmas though so I would rather just keep my eyes open there and get the shoes i acutally want.

cant wait til they get some newer stock... hopefully in time for back to school.

thinkempire has spitfire f4s on for $37. 40% off. that is an insane deal on F4s.
I think with hard goods you have to spend $200 to get the free shipping though, sadly.

Crazy good price ($47 shipped in Canada) on Triple 8 Gotham Mips helmet (if you're into that kind of thing). These things retail for almost $200 on other sites.

https://www.cyclingavenue.com/en/triple-eight-gotham-mips-helmet-438-43768

Slipped out bad and rung my bell HARD wearing my certified Triple 8 Sweatsaver the other day. Still got a mild concussion (prone to them after 35 years of ski and bike crashes), decided to go with their most heavy duty lid to replace it.
