Danny looked awesome it's great to see him back to looking like his old self again. I met him briefly back in like 2013 or 2014 at Love. Seemed like it may have been his first time back in Philly in years but I'm not really sure. I think it was kinda early and there weren't a ton of people skating yet but, he just skated over to me and was like hey I'm Danny. Brief pleasantries and he seemed really nice. I didn't say anything but I was thinking damn I know who you are dude. I guess he was only like 29 or 30 at the time, and I knew about his injury, but he looked like he had the leg strength of a 50 year old. Looked like getting up on the ledges was a struggle, so it's sick to see him in his late 30s now skating like nothing ever even happened. Hyped for him this part was great, and hopefully there's more to come.

renaud mosaic era is my all time favourite. everything was just perfect. i also just discovered he may have been the first to do the ollie over over the gate and down the stairs on sanborn in silver lake. does anyone know if that footage was used in anything? i stayed in the apartment building right next to it, (my window was the top directly behind the fence in the below photo)

I mean, Brandon Turn jumped off a fucking bridge and broke both his legs. He didn't look very stiff while switch hardflipping Wallenburg tho. I was still impressed at the level of skating Renaud can achieve, but honestly, he looked a little stiffer than his last part.

I don't know how high the bridge Brandon fell off was but Renaud fell like 9 floors off a building. Along with compound fractures in both legs, destroyed his spleen and removed part of his pancreas.

Also def not an asshole, have been around both of them and they’re lovely humans who rip and can both switch back tail really well

Hahaha dude! Unrelated but I used to hookup with someone that lived directly across the street from there (building where Jon Rowe did the downhill Nosebonk in A-Street).

Met Ross a while back at the Volunteers video premier in Baltimore. Played pool, shot the shit with him and met his wife. Very laid back dude and was hyped on how he juggled skating and family. Props

FWIW i wasn't trying to start an injury competition. I just used B. Turner to point out that for someone who also seriously fucked up his legs, he didn't look too stiff when he sw hardflipped Wallenburg. And in Danny's defense upon a second watch it was like two or three clips where I thought he looked a little stiff. I'll always be a fan tho.

Our standards and expectations for people in their late 30s and early 40s has been seriously skewed by the likes of Reynolds, AVE, and Guy Mariano amongst others. 

That Renaud footage was some of the best skating done by a person at that age EVER!

It’s only that much more impressive when you factor in the injury. Hoping Renaud gets the proper shine from this part that is deserved.
