i feel like strobeck's videos, music choice and filming gets worse with every video. it sucks cuz all the skaters are amazing but its put into a forgettable video. i feel like nik stains part especially got butchered.

the deftones and metallica song were a miss. maybe im being nitpicky but its a little weird how strobeck uses rock/pop music for white skaters and hip-hop/r&b/reggae for black skaters

that kid hucking back 3 down the huge set that Kader kickflipped for the gram recently where you have to roll off a like 4 or 5 right before is fucking insane (i think antonio durao also kickflipped it? not sure what else has been done but back 3 was nuts)

also ironic that Bill would post that "east vs. west" IG story tagging Tyshawn and Nyjah the other day knowing full well that he was within days of being revealed as the ultimate butcher of Tyshawn's chances at winning again. Bill's filming doesn't bother me that much a lot of the time but his style really does not fit with Tyshawn's skating at all. he's too tall, his tricks are popped too high, the spots he skates are too huge and gnarly, the casual zoomed in thing just doesn't work there. feels natural in a lot of other contexts (for example, it feels right in Troy or Kader's footage) but Tyshawn really needs to start working with someone else because his clips get absolutely decimated by this dude. there's a time and a place for that vibe and kickflipping a subway gap is not one of them. praying for a My War or Rough Cut or something on that with another angle or two

That noseslide nollie flip to regular that the Italian kid did was so butchered by the filmer (I don’t think Strobeck filmed that clip though). The camera was so zoomed that the flip out was literally just the board rotating because the dudes feet were out of frame lmao. Obviously Tyshawn got his clips fucked up too lol

The skating was phenomenal though, everyone did great. I don’t understand why Beatrice was on the poster? Literally did one trick and it was the 5050 shuv out. Strobeck must be trolling atp. Also kinda wish Sean had some more footy, doesn’t make sense to put him and Beatrice in the poster alongside everybody else who put in work. Should’ve been Patrick or Mike Ward instead of them.

Imagine if you were a Beatrice fan, saw her name on the poster, and tuned in just to get one 5050 shove muddled in the middle of the video. I get I'm not being catered to with her skating but this is just some insulting marketing. I feel crazy seeing how high of a pedestal she is on when she is unable to meet anyone's expectations.

Will we get a front 5050 front shuv on Blubba in the next video?  What other classic New York spots can be front 5050 front shuved?

Between the song, him seemingly perfecting his awkward style to the point where it's stylish now, and that fucking gap to 5050 on the bench with the slappy Smith afterwards on that absolutely unslappyable curb.

I still don't love him, but I did enjoy this part.

Nik Stain skating to Metallica was sick, but even as a huge fan of his, I was pretty underwhelmed by his part. I liked the long krook and the Manny pivot fakie manny going like 30mph

Kader did what may of been a massive nollie bs flip. Hard to see the spot because of the filming but I suspect it might of been crazy.

TJ needs to get some second angles happening for some of these tricks. The subway kickflip, 360 flip, fakie heelflip and probably plenty of others were filmed in a very unfortunate way.
