Headed there for Christmas as my parents now live down by Vail. The closest park to them is Rita Ranch, which blows. I know there's spots up by the University, but hopefully can find something closer. Curbs, small ledge spots, etc appreciated.

Rita is one of my favorite parks in Tucson haha. The courthouse in downtown off Congress has a lot of stuff. Same spot as 15 Reynolds has skated. Next to Rita is E
Empire High School with a ton of long flat bars and some banks. Hit me up if you need any help.

I’m in Tucson currently and they’re having a contest at the Reynolds 15 tomorrow. Anyone here going?

Tucson is fun, but it does get a little old quickly.

The metal prop park can be fun.

There are a couple coffee shops open until midnight, which is nice.

And, the ramen place and the coffee shop here is awesome https://www.visittucson.org/listing/msa-annex/32665/ .

the DIY spot on the old roller hockey rink is fun.

There is a DIY in a ditch. It is super hard. The ditch one comes up on Google not sure if the roller hockey rink one does, I think it should.

Google “Rosemont DIY” - google maps has the pin exactly on the ditch the DIY is in, easy to find and super fun.

The DIY at the rinks is at 3645 E Pima St, not as fun as rosemont IMO but there’s a good scene there and lights at night

Was there in 1999/2000. Super friendly locals . I was a lost Kiwi and the crew at Star skateshop took me in and took me on road trips . Fond memories of that place.
They laughed when I told my friends that I was going to be a comedian.....well they are not laughing now!

November, Feb or March if you want 70-80 and sunny,
December / Jan if you want crispy 55-70 and probably still sunny, you can get unlucky with rain during all of these months but it’s rare.

Edit: It's in Tempe my bad

There's a museum exhibition about the history of local skateboarding in tucson, I think I'm gonna go today or tomorrow or something. I guess the world's first skatepark was in tucson, 1965.

Mainly I'm just gonna be going to hella antique stores but I might build a complete board just to leave down here so I don't have to travel with my whole setup

Bringing everything but the deck in carryon and then just buying a deck when I get there was the original plan

Check out BLX skate shop. They hold it down in Tucson. If you’re into getting tatted BLX tattoo shop is (obviously) connected to the skate shop.
The 15 stair Reynolds backside flipped is at the Tucson courthouse. Other notable tricks on the big set is Trapasso’s switch flip and Mike Davis switch tre.
A skatepark in oro valley also opened recently, maybe about 30- an hour drive from Tucson?
