I hate the way I push. It looks like i'm trying to stomp out a bug and I don't know how to dance. I'm actually a very good dancer and most of the time, i let bugs live. I've never been one to mimic another's style, however I would like some inspiration on maybe adjusting the way i pick up speed or slyly stabilize myself after landing.
There are iconic pushers like your Mike Vs - who probably has more pictures of him skateboarding mid-push, than pictures of him doing tricks. Its whatever it is, but- is it stylish? I declare that it most likely isn't.
I know some of you skateboard rookies might be thinking , "what in the fuck is this guy talking about?" But look around at your skatepark. You have your mongos, your straight leggers, the dancers, stompers, and your tippy toesers.
Now what about you? What do you think? How do you push and what kind of push do you like? Is there a skateboarder out there you see and tell yourself , "you know what? that person has a really really nice push."
