Vans still has the extra 20% off code.

Every time I think "No more shoes" then something like this comes up again and I see more that are almost too good a price to leave.

There sure are some amazing deals there in the lower price for odd sizes or weird colours, as well as some regular colours in standard lines that are on sale, eg the Skate Sk8 hi, black white on sale at $89.99 so then comes down to $71.99 or so.  The black / black come down to $63.99 too.

https://www.vans.com.au/skate-sk8-hi-vna5fccy28-bkw.html

Some other really good deals in there too, but others can search and find the bargains if they want them.

Gone since 1988.  I talk too much about skateboards.  Sorry.

Damn another distro gone.

Wonder if Project will scoop up baker boys as well
[close]

I guess it is a hard game to get into and even harder one to keep things going, without having a good stable of solid brands to keep things rolling.

Might just be me, but it seems like some other distros come and go all too quickly, more so the ones with only a few accounts, or the B or C grade brands, more so than the A grade brands, at least.

PD distro will be restarting under a new name, Dustin has been bought out so no longer involved

Some pretty good prices on stuff out there atm,

Super cheap blazers and SB dunks under $100, the blue white green pair I always liked.
https://www.supplystore.com.au/brands/nike-sb?product_list_order=price_low

Heaps of cheap decks on Supply too as always - Sci-Fi, Palace, Carpet, Hockey, FA etc.

Lots of Tiago's under $100

Rowan 2's under $60 - lots of sizes
https://www.vans.com.au/rowan-2-vna2z3iamq-blu.html

I think UPS is moving to online only - if you're a US 8 this page is bit of a goldmine

Folklore decks for under $50, I liked the Fibertech Lite decks I rode a few years back, $47 for them is a steal.

Didn’t want to start a new topic, any one know a good mail forwarder from the US to Aus?

I used to used the Auspost one but they shut it down.

Trying to take advantage of a sale but I’m getting mixed reviews on some of the ones that pop up on Google

Maybe a Pal in the US would hook it up for you?

I've used Stackry alot in the past - not for about a year though. They would give you about 5 choices of different courier service (FedEx, DHL mostly). I would ship pretty large/heavy boxes and the rates were getting up there after Covid,  especially with the AUD in a big slump. Nowadays it's hard to say it wouldn't just eat up what you save, but the service and interface was good.

I’d seen that one pop up, rates are pretty average but it could be a goer.

Thanks

.

Almost too many sales going on at all the various skate shops, but one that really stands out is OCD with 30% off everything.

Some Spitfire Formula Four wheels down to $55 just as an example, the rest around $62 to $69 which for Formula Four is pretty unbeatable right now.

I guess some shops have more discounts than others, some only have specials on some stock, others have a broad % off sale going.

Check your own store you usually get anything from and chances are there is something on offer.

Nice!

I regularly see good specials from Boardworld, be it percentage off discounts or just general sales, where a lot of stuff is marked down.

Example, just checked again now for a few things and Spitfire Classic 99 duro 55 mm wheels down to $67 which is the cheapest I have seen any regular main line wheel for a long time.  Other shapes and most Classics are also down to $76 too.

Well worth checking if people don't have local access to product here in AU.

Vans AU site now has a ridiculous number of shoes all on clearance at $29.99 a pair, often weird colours or random sizes, left, but there still seems to be enough there I am sure someone could find a bargain or two.

Also wondering how well Vans is doing and if they really are so very close to going belly up, with so much dead stock and what seems like a whole lot of bad choices in all those shoes I see on sale.

For the most part, I spray out the side panel black anyway and just make do with these clearance shoes, as long as they have a black suede toe on the Old Skool, like the pair I am wearing right now.

Edit:  Not that people need it, but here is the direct link:

I had people telling me about Snake Pit closing (again) too, with some interesting things, half price Slappy trucks and some other stuff, but that might have sold already now.  Was going to buy a half dozen sets and other things and then thought better of it.

I guess that is just the state of things - too many shops and not enough customers to really support all of them.

I just saw an email from OCD - 30% off everything storewide for 3 days, excludes new arrivals and gift cards.

Still pretty good for the remainder of everything else on the site.

EARLY30 is the code, in case anyone on here doesn't get the emails.

* Example: Bones Swiss come down under $84 which is the cheapest I think I have seen them in a retail store for a while.
