No one that sucks at skating says AVE is their favorite skater.
to be fair, the only people that remember ave's skating are older dudes & those dudes are pure skate rats that'll never stop skating and are pretty good bc they skate so much
i highly doubt you could find a sub 18 year old who has watched an ave part
? Children love FA, of course they’ve seen AVE parts.
im 26, love FA/Hockey & dudes only a few years younger than me have never seen AVE parts. On the same note, i've never seen a Gino Ianucci or Jason Dill part
I'm in the south right now, so it may vary in different parts of the US - so take my words with a grain of salt
It kinda blows my mind that you like skateboarding enough to post about every single detail of it with strangers on the internet, but not enough to put a name into a youtube search bar and educate yourself on the skaters that literally built the brand you say you love.
Go watch AVEs Vans part, Dills skatemore part, then Gino in Yeah Right.
i dont like FA for ave & dill
i like FA/Hockey only for the skaters my age - k rod, nik stain, sean & sage etc
i watched segments of Dill's/ave's parts as per your request and i could give less fucks. i hate their music and could care less about their legacy that you imply is important
i dont feel the need to "educate myself" further on the skaters who built a brand when theyre not even the reason i like the brand
Legacy is important but not every skateboarder has to be a skate historian. It's reasonable to like a team based on who currently skates for them and not necessarily who used to / is out of their prime. Lots of teams / pros have fell off. Dill is a kook and I don't care about his skating either tbh.
AVE I get the admiration for but his skating isn't really my cup of tea personally. Also, forgive me old heads but do you actually skate a board brand just because of who used to be on the team?
I like and appreciate 90s and 2000s skating and even like some of it more than the current stuff, I'm very into Tom Penny like anyone but I wouldn't buy a flip board in 2023 because of what he did in the 90s, no disrespect to the legend.
