How do you avoid getting fucked up teeth? I'm in my late 20s and teeth are fine but I really don't want to have Dan Corrigan chompers by the time I'm 35

I might have an excessive practice, but bad teeth run in my family and after having to pay for a bit of work I don't want to have to do that shit again so I use Advanced Gum Go-betweens first, then I use a waterpik, then I floss, then I brush, then 30mins later I use mouthwash. No issues and barely any plaque when I go in for 4 times a year cleanings.

@FranklinSt4Ever Forgive me if I missed it...but what is the significance/benefit of waiting 30 mins btwn brushing and rinsing with mouthwash?

I'm going to imagine weakened enamel? That's why they say it's a bad idea to brush immediately after eating a meal or drinking coffee. Brush BEFORE breakfast, even if it feels weird.

How would rinsing with mouthwash weaken your enamel? And why would it be more damaging when performed less than 30 mins after brushing? Just trying to understand...

Also, I usually have breakfast after I brush my teeth. Thought that was standard...
