Thread kinda sucks sort of easier to say what brand I will rep but nobody wanna read an essay on your preferences.

Anybody been in a situation where a company is kinda wack or not your flavor but you meet someone heavily involved with or runs said brand and they keep giving you free gear and you can’t so no because they’re nice and your friend so you end up fuckin with some brand kinda heavy even if you wouldn’t otherwise
[close]

Can't say that I know what you're even beginning to talk about, as I do not want to read words or essays on your thoughts and preferences.
While there's a strong possibility that I would not only know what they're talking about but also completely relate to the second sentence in their post, I would not know because as you said I don't want to read an essay on their preferences

Why does "TrumpNYC" sound like an underground new york brand that could have existed prior to 2016

So much easier to list companies that I would rep:
Boards - Antihero, Santa Cruz, Krooked, but also any small skater-owned brands (love the shit that the lil' guys are putting out!)
Trucks - Indy and Ace
Wheels - O'Jays & Spitfire
Bearings - Reds
Shoes - that's pretty much wide open for me, anything cheap, skates good and looks halfway decent
Clothes - Dickies and any plain white Tee
Drinks - aquafina water

Metal Mulisha: don't like the designs.
Abrand: Lacks an identity, uninspiring name.
Unit: Because who the fork wants to be a unit? sounds born backwards on fire.
Alpinestars: The graphics lack inspiration and the name has no real meaning.
Just Another Fisherman: I can't stand hunting or fishing. for fishy bastards.
Salty Crew: Makes me think the wearer enjoys swallowing cum.
Ilabb: Doofy pretentious name, clothes are kind of cool but over branded and whacky.
Primitive: I like the name but all the graphic designs don't relate, are unappealing and fail to give me any vision on what it's about. Is it about primitive people? Then why so clean cut? I'm confused by what it's trying to say.
Krooked: Because people will say you're a kook unless your hucking shit or getting tech-gnar
Thing Thing: I lost interest in the brand. Never came through with the goods. When I was the first to answer correctly about a question and answer competition.
Playboy: because having anything with that logo or word on it is embarassing. People will think you're either a pornography addict or you're just really into transexuals.
Santa Cruz: Good decks but I think the logos are corny and the only way I would want to wear a screaming hand is as a pair of black undies with the print on the front.
Deathwish: Because what a lame thing to wish for. If you could wish for anything, ANYTHING, would you not wish for better?
The Heart Supply: Awful graphics and name
Wknd: Sounds lame weak end. Nah we want to finish strong brudda.

I'm sure there's more but that's enough for now.

Anything you said prior to this is moot.

I don't hate/love brands but sometimes I just don't feel appeal on some brands like Zero, Flip, Foundation, Polar... I don't know, they don't seem interesting to me. Snack and GX1000 were some of them but since a few months ago I've been obsessed with their videos, team and gear. My next board is going to be a Snack hands down. So I can't state "I will never support this company" because my taste changes like a mf ;D

Slappers have so many self-imposed rules. It’s too bad because there’s a lot to experience in life and you’re just depriving yourselves of it because you try so hard to not be trendy because you think it makes you cooler.

With that being said:
- Rip n Dip (same reason as everyone else plus their cat logo is cringe)
- Emerica (every Emerica shoe I’ve skated has had weird manufacturing issues)
- Lakai (I want to support but I’ve never had Lakais go longer than a few weeks before blowing out)
- Girl/Chocolate (until they start using better wood shops like BBS or PS Stix)

That’s all I can think of. As for Nike hate, I skated Dunks many years ago and got a pair again recently. They blow out really fast too. However, I got a pair of suede Jordan 1 mids that have lasted almost three months and have no sign of blowing out yet. They’re a hundred times better than Dunks and I just bought them on a whim. So yeah fuck Nike for having the ability to make long lasting skate shoes but giving us Dunks via limited drops. The shoes they’ve recently started regular restocks to skate shops suck so bad. They have this paper thin nubuck upper that has no grip and wears out after a week.

As Slappers, we are too cool for even ourselves
If my rep is ever an even number, please kindly throw me either a kook or a gnar in order to return me to my odd number equilibrium.

@guyledouche, welcome back from your hiatus, it’s been a minute.
Your new chompers are looking great, BTW.
But since you’re back with us, lemme riff off a couple questies at you, rapid fire style, on account of some of us folks around here are curious.

•Did you go see the famous Dr. Montoya in Colombia for the dental work?
•Somebody pointed out that your lady friend deleted her YouTube feed, or some such thing: do you think that has anything to do with your (now infamous) public remarks about butt munching?
•Are you two still an item, or did the aforementioned remarks bum her out too much to ride w/ you any further?
•Who do YOU think is more fun to watch goofing around on a board: that Japanese Super Rat dude, or &&?
•Is that Nigel filmer guy a for real sex pest/nonce, or does he just constantly ooze those vibes?
•When is Powell going to give you that pro model you’ve been working so hard for & will a Flight Deck model be an option?
•At such time as Powell gives you the pro nod, will Cumorama offer you a shoe contract as well, and do you anticipate those two revenue streams will be enough to settle into some place nice for a while?

Thanks for playing along & once again, welcome back.

I wanna play you in a game of SKATE for the right to continue talking shit on me.  You think you got me?
