what a world we are living in - that New Balance gave us the best Skateshoecompany footage output.
New Balance are very popular here in London with the hipster/middle-class crowd. They must be making some decent cash at the moment. Rarely see any numeric shoes though.
those guys really did NB a solid. in the 90's + 2000's it was like 'i'd probably rather just go bear foot than wear new balance in public' then hipsters started wearing them ironically for exactly that reason in the early 2010's and in a few years it became absolute uniform for a certain demographic. when i got my first job in a creative agency, i noticed that literally every single male employee under 40 (whose job didn't involve having to meet clients directly) was wearing NBs.
Rarely see any numeric shoes though.there are difficult to get... if you want to buy in a skateshop. At least in my area. try to avoid online shopping.
from the 3 shops i visit frequently - only one have an account - and just 3-4 different models on the rack because he focus
on Vans / Nike - to keep the account and then he have DC, Emerica, Etnies, Es, LR, Adidas, Cons - so not much space left for NB.
hipsters started wearing them ironically for exactly that reasonpeople start to buy them because it was a option to buy a made in UK / US sport shoe
in different wide options... hipsters jump in later for what ever they think of a reason.
just bought the new Tiago 1010 - and they are great.
Skateboarding Team and Footage wise - they do a really good job.
