Grinding big rails with wacky waving inflatable arm flailing tube man style doesn’t make you the best skater on a company.

Fine, put him on Madness or Techne or some other b-list company where looking good on a skateboard doesn’t matter.

I hate to be so harsh but god damn I wish we could go back to the days where you had to be somewhat special to be somebody in skating.  If this was 2006 he’d be in the back pages of TWS in an NSS shoes ad.

To be fair, those were some nice skate shoes.

Are We all just buying this hook, line, and sinker?
OP has an 18 post count...
No links, No evidence? just a thread?
No announcement from Don P.
can the demise of a company be cause by rumors?
I'd really hate for that to happen.

I know this is slap but Darkroom is a random company to start a rumor about.  I heard Don is just over the skate industry and that Darkroom is dunzo by June. Being partners with Kevin must be tough?

Perfect time for him and AWS start working together again. Current AWS graphic are bland and have zero identity, Don's graphics are good but enough to carry an entire brand.

Can someone inform me why there's a Danny Way AWS board? I'm a bit young for the hey-day of AWS, MindField was the video of my era.

They gave him a spot after Plan B folded in 98(99?). I guess you could call it skate social welfare. Same with Colin McKay and Girl.

No disrespect to Don, and the works he has contributed to skateboarding in the past, and guess in the present with DRKRM.... but...

The harsh reality is that it's a brand like many others that rose in the peak of Covid, due to the main fact of having boards ready to go when other companies couldnt because they were moving units pre-covid... supply and demand generated some hype, and obviously there's old head sweaters out there caught up on the AWS and Habitat era Don stuff... (no one seems to be mentioning any Element Don?!)

there's been a few right place, right time brands around world that have already, if not soon will just fade away into nothing leaving good riders with no home, Clemmons on Quasi would be dope though.

That stereo collection was is peak. I'd love to own one of those.

The Pendleton Element era was weird because it felt like Element was just doing AWS, and AWS lost its identity.
