Hope for skateboarding's sake that he gets a nice bag somewhere else. But frankly, in my most humble opinion, his skating has never stood out to me and I think there were other people much more deserving of having their own Vans colorways.

No disrespect intended to the Midwest scene though- he seems to do a lot for the rust belt. But in terms of the global landscape of skateboarding this guy is forgettable.

I owned his "world peace" or whatever shoes he came out with a few years ago and they were fire tho.

Seemed like he fit really well on Vans and they were hyped on him, since he's had like 6 shoe colourways and a bunch of apparel. I don't know the guy, but he seemed hyped to be on Vans as well. I can only speculate (and I will speculate), but this feels like a thing where his contract came up and Vans just wasn't willing to write the cheque that someone else was. He's an extremely marketable skater right now, and there was all that stuff recently about budget cuts and layoffs and stuff at Vans, so it was probably a tough time to get a big raise for a skater over there, even for a guy who probably more than earned it. Hope he gets on something cool and makes big money.

I love this dude's skating and style, and he seemed like a perfect fit for Vans. Based on his social media, he seemed like he was stoked on being on Vans and was always posting their shoes even if it wasn't his colorway or a collab he was involved with. He must've been offered a lot more money or maybe even a pro shoe to leave Vans?
