The baby with a dong is the smoking cherub from the cover of Van Halen 1984 and Lady Justice is the Pushead illustration from the cover of Metallica's And Justice for All...

Pushead didn't do the any of the Metallica cover art (except the Cliff 'Em All VHS video). The ...And Justice for All cover was painted by Stephen Gorman. And that isn't what the forearm tattoo is of. It's just some christian saint angel or something.

I really like ...And Justice for All. Couldn't care less about a new sneaker brand.

Warm Up Zone. Let's watch some skateboarding videos.

Did Have a question though. Jamie Thomas seems to get alot of hate, just wanted to know why??

Always been a fan since welcome to hell of the dudes skating and after watching his nine club episode a few years back he seems like a sound guy. Wondering what I am missing?

I had never heard Stephen Gorman's name before you mentioned it but I see that every metal website out there has an article on his contribution to the AJFA cover art. To add to my Mandela effect timeline, I'm nearly positive that the 3 singles from AJFA have cover art by Pushead but I no longer have access to the liner notes on those and the wiki entries repeat the info from the album. I only ever owned Eye of the Beholder for Breadfan though. I will simply say it all sure does look like Brain Schroeder's work and I can't find any art anywhere else by Stephen Gorman other that what might be nature photography if I've got the right guy.

I love that album too and rode my bike to the mall to buy the tape either the day of or week of release. Nowadays I prefer And Justice for Jason IV because I think that's where they would've wound up if Lars hadn't been an inexplicable asshat during the mixing sessions.

Hahaha ahhh ok, preachy with his beliefs?

Suppose that's the curse of technology. Before social media and podcasts we only saw who the person was through their skating

If you do some digging on here it’s not hard to find a laundry list of reasons he gets hate. Also a myriad of interviews/podcasts telling stories about how much he sucks. A very large portion of the skate industry doesn’t like JT, it makes you wonder why. Also doesn’t help he still has a huge boner for James Cole

Funnily enough after one of the previous comments I spotted the "similar topics" at the bottom and delved into the Jamie Thomas rabbit hole lol.

It's a shame dude has some questionable luggage he's carrying about because his skating has always been a good watch.

Sucks to think there's skaters in the industry who are phenomenal on their board but act shitty off it. Suppose that's the nature of humans.

Even though these shoes aren't exciting, glad to see a skater owned, home grown brand pop up. At least someone is trying? I'm gonna give JT some time to sort it out but won't be purchasing this drop.

What I'd like to see is a better logo/brand identity/brand story. Also hoping the next few drops will be more exciting with some better colorways, etc. Thinking this first drop is just introducing the silhouettes and feel of the shoe hence the black and white colors.

He mentioned on the nine club his attention to the insole which i think is cool. for example everyone buys those hideous On Running and Hoka shoes because of the comfort over Nike, vans, etc.

Biggest thing for me on all this is seeing cooler branding. In theory War Saw is a cool name but I can't get over it sounding like a Polish brand. And the logo is boring looking. Understated is good but I don't care much if the brand identity doesn't excite me.

In Polish it would be Warszawa. Which ruins Jamie’s pun.

Why explore the limitless creative potential of a logo for your new and exciting brand and business venture when you can just put together 2 triangles upside down?

The dude has made a career of the bare minimum and taking the work of other people. He's never been creative, he's always been more of a "DJ". He takes existing shit and tweaks it a little and genuinely believes he did something special.

Skulls, misfits, Jesus, triangles, last resort. Fallen shoes offered absolutely nothing new to the market either. Mystery was the "Heart Supply" of Blackbox. Sick riders but so little effort went into it. Looked like a price point brand. Heart and lightening bolts! Black and white!

Jamie is like the dude at a county fair who waits for a trend to pop then makes a tee shirt of it to sell to people. Like the people who sell print-on-demand Hawk Tuah girl meme shirts or something.

The idea that he thinks Warsaw is some classy brand or design or aesthetic, or ever will be, is fucking hilarious. Nothing will ever top gravis in that department until someone who knows what they are doing decides to do it.

Jamie is a 50 year old with ZERO actual fashion sense or knowledge of fashion. His style on a skateboard is such trash. He knows nothing about style. He wears a beanie halfway up his head. If you are wearing sneakers to a wedding you are already a kook. Grow up a little bit when the occasion calls for it. Have some class and get a nice pair of shoes.

"Oh shit I have a wedding to go to next month and I need everyone there to know I skate, better go buy some WARSAWS!"

Even if that aesthetic was possible with Jamie, the logo and name already don't work for it. Nothing classy or dressy or stylish about any of it. Branding 101.

He did almost of their t shirts, there is a lot to say about the james hetfield/danzig history with pushead and zorlac and skateboards too. I feel like you are googling.

Cool side note james did most of the back up vocals on earth ad..

I tried the nine club interview. I work in supply chain. It's really sad how he explains business end of things. I feel like jamie might have help with doing these brands. He is not running fallen or Warsaw by himself. It's just not feasible. Furthermore, the breakdown of the brand and aesthetics is all good, but basically he is selling an overpriced, [insert cheapest shoe any brand offers] shoe. I wish him all the best. I don't have the time or desire, but last resort is probably same factory. Just odd to venture into the highest risk venture speaking like that. But if I was 21 I'd probably be stoked. Lol nine club really showing how business works. Lol.

LRAB is made in vietnam, War Saw is made in china, so it's gotta be a different factory.

Actual story of the brand is Jamie Thomas needs to make retirement money.

The best way to make retirement money is to commit your savings to a brand that'll be dead on arrival

I've spent many long years defending JT after seeing him crush a one man demo in 1993. I still think he looks awesome on a board, and has one of a kind style. Now that he's started his 17th brand with quasi christian/white nationalist/nazi vibes, I'm over it.
