As per Clyde's nine club.

Sal is still behind it and boards will be through PS.

A reboot I can definitely get behind, curious as to how the art direction will go. If they’ll just do reissues, or if they will have new graphics, or both. In any event I hope they keep the same aesthetic. Apologies for the word play there.

The Palace x Aesthetics colab from last year - https://www.palaceskateboards.com/palace-aesthetics/

Clyde's t-shirt on the Nine Club looks better to me than any of this stuff.

Palace x the Hamburglar kind of devalues Palace x anything now, doesn't it (excluding free McNuggets)? Anyway I'd be more than happy to cop some Aesthetics x Aesthetics..

Good news. Legendary video and team, I'd be happy to support if the vision is still there. Now all we need is Ipath back.

Had a rad yellow Aestetics shirt back in the 90s. If they put one out like that, I will definitely rock it

If Aesthetics returned with a new and fresh team, what up-and-coming/current skaters deserve that honor?  Should it be attempted, or just run the reboot off nostalgia and heritage content and graphics?  My vote is for the latter, but curious if anyone can identify a fitting team of new skaters.

Thought about this for a bit and I think it would be truer to Aesthetics' potential to ride with a new team. A brand revived only to serve the nostalgia of a few nerds, with  a team consisting entirely of retired pros, is doomed to be short-lived. Don't get me wrong, John Igei, Rob Welsh, Joey Pepper, SB, Clyde, those guys should all have boards. But a new team of core kids who fit the vision of the brand would ensure it sticks around and does the numbers it deserves. It'd be nice if the team were made up of dudes who never had a board sponsor.

A masterpiece.

Yes! Thank you for posting this. It's been too long since I've watched the whole thing. Gonna drink it in and make a wish list of pros/ams for the rebirth of Aesthetics in hopes it's like The Godfather II, Aliens, T2, The Dark Knight, or (god willing) the greatest sequel ever made: Evil Dead II.

For sure.  A team of unknown assassins would be the shit.

This makes me think of Darkroom a little, if you consider that an AWS resurrection.  But we all know that's over with, unfortunately.

I always thought Ben Skrzypek woulda made a dope Aesthetics rider if the timing and whatever else lined up.  One of Maine's finest like Rob and Joey.  Still rips too.

I also agree with the opinion that it should be left alone.  But if its gonna be brought back to life, might as well...

It had everything to do with Aesthetics’ investors/financial backing and nothing to do with the brand or the team.

The only knock on Aesthetics back in the day was the boards got soggy too quickly.

cant lie i loved their dipped boards back in the day. the graphics and colors were so sick. especially the one series with the race cars. they ran skinny, for sure had a couple that were 7.4 in.....pretty much all of sal barbier's brands were dope and under appreciated. great team too.

I’m curious to see how this turns out. If they can get some talented youngsters and a few established pros, it could potentially turn into something.

The shirt that Clyde is wearing is sick. I’m gonna have to pick one up

Ryde or die volume 1 was the first video I ever got brand new in the plastic. I had dubbed videos and stuff before that but this was my first new video. Got it from a cousin as a gift pretty early into me skating. My friends vcr ate it in like 2014. I was bummed but it was good to me for a long time.
