I'm not sure it a factor of "better" but just what you're capable of and what looks good.
Both Hewitt and Ishod, who's probably at least a whole foot taller, can destroy a bowl, but they have their own takes and trick selection that is more fitting to their body type. Ishod for styling airs and lip tricks, and Hewitt for FS grinding or inverting the hardest hip in the pool. (Obviously some crossover, but you know what I mean)
Luis Tolentino wasn't that tall (iirc), and could to tit-for-tat on pop with Brophy, who was one of the tallest skaters at one point
I think physique changes your style and outlook of course, but I don't think theres a one-size-fits-all for every type of style and spot.
Personally in a skate sense, I think I'm too lanky for my own good, and could benefit from being 2-3" shorter. Not that it really matters to me.
