I always thought the pronunciation of the last name was more controversial. Apparently its "Rohley", but Rowley like an animal's growl sounds so much better.

Yes. When skaters are literate, they're big suckers for posh English spelling.

Brandon Biebel would probably still be in the skating community's good graces if his name were spelled "Branndoun" and he hadn't become an overly tanned and turgid frequenter of gyms.
