I hope he has a long pro career . Real is notorious for turning people pro too late in their lives and then they’re retired a couple years later .

insane skating, never really knew who the guy was but definitely remembered some of those tricks. That backlip in paris is regular. Best to him, hard to stand out on the real team.

Surprised it wasn't 5 hours long considering how long that road was

Lmao yeah, or a very brief minute and a half of
“Basically we keep you on flow for ages, and if you’re still around and pushing it you’ll get bumped up to am. You remain there for at least a decade and , if you haven’t jumped somewhere else and are still pushing it you might get turned pro. Provided no one “better” starts the journey in the 15years+ you’ve been with us.”

Idk

The way Real operates would definitely turn me off if it weren’t for the fact that Ishod and Busenitz skate for them.

You are talking about Busenitz, Wair, Chima, Kyle Walker, Praman, Zion?

Don’t want to take the focus from Hermann - congratulation- well-deserved!

But claiming that Real is not handling business/ team well - is far fetched. Wich company is > 30 years in business and have better more relevant team?

Harry, Zion, and Ishod weren't in purgatory for long IIRC. Jack and Patrick only a few years too.

The statement that real is notorious for gaving pro status to late - and their pros retire to fast is false.

The team is maybe too stacked. So some people who woud be good enough to be pro didt get the promotion at real - because they can not push it properly. It’s not possible to build up a pro carrier only on your board sponsor - to get enough support/ promotion/ budget for traveling and filming - you need to have the support from a shoe company - so it’s not solo on the board company - to „make“ someone pro. This is a commercial decision of different brands and an investment in the person/ career.

Getting on a board company as an am is the start - then you need to build up the network - shoes / clothing even some sponsor outside of skateboarding- and if this company’s decide together to push you as a pro Skateboarder - then you have the chance to get enough advertising/ financial income to really create a career out of it.

May Real gave the pro nod to some people who never made it the proper  way. As a sign of respect and the given service as a am/ flow rider. But I have  no example in mind.

Even Ernie Torres had a kind of long career - or lovely Hardy with only Decline support him as a shoe sponsor and working full time as a electrician. RIP love his skating.
If you keep >30 years of history in mind there were not many weak skateboarders on Real with a bad output.
