Has any skater actually ever been “canceled” though? I’m trying to think. Gator? People like Booblow would lead you to believe otherwise. Jason Jesse? He still seems to be lingering in the background. James has faced less than zero consequences. I can’t think of an example but it would be cool to be proven wrong.

There were a few years there where are a lot of B-listers were getting canceled. Johan Stuckey, Daryl Angel, Yonnie Cruz, Jarne Verbruggen and Al Davis all left the industry after allegations surfaced. I think Tyler Warren left the industry as well

Tyler is still behind the scenes, dude just got married. his cancellation really only consisted of his clips being removed from the last Alltimers video and some dude in a motorcycle helmet trying to beat him up.

Ah, yes, you are correct. I remember most of those now—Daryl being abusive and I think biting the girl, Johan (and Yonnie?) knowingly spreading herpes, Al doing something creepy—but I honestly forgot about most of them as skateboarders.

I’m stoked I was wrong but am not stoked to assume that James’ higher level of popularity being what’s kept him more or less immune to this same treatment. Burman seems like a shoe-in for cancellation, though.

He made me think we were friends. After I said no, he gaslighted me and made me feel really bad about it, and then ghosted me. I saw him on Instagram complaining about guys taking advantage of girls and I messaged him about what he did. He said he didn't remember but apologised. I hope that he really is changing his ways.

Deeply sorry that happened to you. You put faith in someone's friendship only to be taken advantage of. I hope you got the help you needed and are able to move on. He definitely didn't forget, he just tried to minimize his wrong doings, to the person he fucked with. Which is just as bad as the act itself. For what it's worth, I'm proud of you. That took guts.

What is this, like the dozenth similar story/accusation to come out about this dude? Asking random girls you don't even know to send you nudes and then throwing a hissy fit when the girl says no is just... pathetic. It just reeks of creepy loser ass "please madam, anything for a crumb of pussy" type shit.
