What do we think about the two shoes? They seem pretty similar.  upload an image

No one owns the rights to the moc-toe design.

Ipath was the first to popularize it in skateboarding though.

But personally I think the LRABs look better.

Cats probably skate better though.

The vulc sole looks terrible on the lrab upper. Ipath is back and readily available so it’s not even a question on which one is better.

The Last Resort shoe bags out very quickly. I had to stop skating them prematurely because of it.

I do not recommend.

@Atiba Applebum

I’d say so! I actually really liked the insole LR uses. I felt like it was a very cozy shoe. Very relaxed feeling fit-wise.

I second this. I had a pair of last resort and they bagged out on me. I like the way they look though.

Can someone just make a white leather version of either? I want to feel like I work in a 1960's hospital.

How has neither brand dropped a blue and cream colorway?

I used to have a lot of Cats back in the day, but only because they were $15 at PacSun during their closeout sale. They skated ok. Random memory: PacSun used to sell Circa's! Lol, I even got some CM802s from there. Anyway, Almost everyone at my local who used to skate LR doesn't even skate anymore, and the few that are left switched to Converse and still complain about their feet hurting. I think the Ipath's will last longer for sure. You can always get some Clarks.

All Last Resort shoes bag out and look clownish pretty fast.

I'd definitely get the iPath Cats instead plus they're a cupsole.

The big difference is cup vs vulc...

Not as big a difference as it seems, because the upper on the last resorts will blow out far quicker than the measure of difference between cupsole and vulcanized.

Unless one likes a bagged out upper, on a shoe in which only has two lace loops no less, then I can’t in good conscience reccomend the last resorts. They simply become too loose too quickly, and there’s no remedy to fix it.

Fan of both brands, but the LR is unbearably uncomfortable in comparison to Cats.

Got the Ipath Brown Cats and Black Moc from LRAB and they both comfy to me. The Cats more of a cushioned cup feel, the moc more of a cushioned vans authentic vibe. Both I use for chillers as Im partial to GT Blazers to skate in. But if Ipath made a low version of the cats Id definitely grab a pair.
