Doesn’t Takashi69 still owe @Lou Strux a test set?

Edit: I really like this engineer. He’s so ernest in the explanation of his invention. I wish him well.

This is some wild ass shit and the color is crazy lmoa.
I can’t believe they’re continuing making trucks after they made the disruptor a few years ago that I’ve yet to see anyone skate.

I’m no engineer, but that baseplate screams cracks in like 5 different ways I can see.  I respect it though, it seems like he really thought through this design.  I’m sure no one will buy it but I would love to see this shit in person.

Also isn’t the dude who owns grind king the brother of the Bronze Age guy?  Thought I saw that in that Hulu doc.

I used to support this dude's dedication to innovation, for better or for worse, and I still use the kreper kingpins in some of my trucks. That being said, he has dropped the ball on this one. Just how deeply he has misunderstood how grooves work, is just the beginning. Apart from some kooky, old pool dudes, I don't see how anyone would wanna skate these.

Yeah my trucks last to long at 4-6 months. I want some that’ll be through the axle in 3 weeks(if the baseplate doesn’t break first).
I am absolutely amazed that Grind King is still around though. Props to them for surviving this long.

Not saying he's nailed it or it's true but if you watch the vid he explains that the axle also dips like the shape of the hanger so there's no sacrifices made with the amount of hanger material.

I feel like it can't be that hard to innovate in the world of skateboard trucks and still make them aesthetically pleasing to the eye. Those are absolutely hideous. They could turn better than any Indy geometry ever made, grind like a buttery tensor mag on all surfaces...but there's no fucking way I would ever set those up.

It's pretty funny that he starts with "I've been watching skaters and talking to skaters" rather than, "I've been skating and I noticed..."
Backing the fact that he's trying to innovate, but these are indeed hideous.
I could see some of these ideas being stolen by the big truck companies. I'm intrigued by the multiple baseplate holes, though it seems like with enough slappies, you'd just knock them into having a big groove instead of holes.

Well.  Points for Ingenuity.

Has anyone tried Rocket Bolts?  I can't find any reviews except this one.

*It's actually really interesting.... This guy should have a place in the Shoes & Gear thread with his scientific testing of rocket bolts vs. normal bolts.  that is not a dis.

I found the axle part interesting thats about it,

The baseplate truck holes look like they would be a problem as someone else said in this thread,

Also they are grind king ,  last thing I bought from them was bridge bolts when I  was like 10

These have been around for ages from various manufactureres (Randoms/Great-8 Hammer’d Hardware) - they work 100% as advertised.

The ACE bolts with 'grippers' are kinda the same, but as the name implies they only dig down into the grip for a bit of extra security.

To be fair, I didn’t watch the video. I have no need for new technology or anything beyond my Indy’s with conical super softs floppy loose. I’m happy so no interest.
All the best to them.

Ah has Grind King actually made any products that weren't a gimmick or at least trying to be innovative ??

As a person who only uses 4 bolts I may fuck around and find a pair of hammer ins, gonna have to tell my guy at spa gear we need to jump on this train
