I could be wrong, but I think Cattle is heavily subsidized because it's such a costly, wasteful product. I rarely eat beef and I just got a perfect score on my yearly work physical(ya stroking my ego here).
Chicken is a bit inhumane, but it's so much less wasteful. I eat mainly chicken, pork and a little bit of fish. If you want to feel full, a good combination of fiber, complex carbs and protein is the way to go. Everyone wants to overanalyze this shit, but it's seriously just eating a balanced diet. People read too much into their diet and nitpick every little thing. Seriously, just get a good combination of all the food groups and avoid the shitty carbs and sugar that plague a lot of processed food. Also, adding salt to your meals isn't going to wreck your blood pressure, it's the processed crap that has wayyy too much.
