I am very pro-Bernie, but I still find it weird that people were shocked the DNC didn’t embrace Bernie.  He’s not a democrat, he’s not in the party, he’s never fundraised or done anything for them, so why do people think the DNC would embrace him over someone who’s been at the top of the leadership for 2 decades, especially after she unexpectedly got pushed aside in 08 (and by extension 2012) when Obama became undeniable.

I wish Bernie had been the nominee (even though he got smoked in the actual vote count) because then if he lost in the general election (after being painted as a communist), I wouldn’t have to hear about how “he would have won” for the next decade.

I mean, I think it would have been great if he won but I also don’t believe he necessarily stood a better chance than Hillary and I don’t fault the DNC for not thinking so either. He would have definitely picked up more left leaning voters who stayed home or went for Jill Fucking Stein but he probably would have lost a certain number of more conservative Dems who voted for Obama and have migrated to Trump since.

Bernie continues to suck the air out of the room whole accomplishing very little concrete results. I still doubt a hard left shift gets the White House and it definitely doesn’t improve the Senate position.
