So how long before trump tries to rename the country after himself?

MAGA politicians keep trying to name cities and national parks after him, as well as putting his face on the National Parks Pass. Plus he just added his name to the Kennedy center and is currently planning on building his own Arc de Trump to dedicate to himself in DC.

So, I expect the remane by Summer.

Its disheartening to see whats happening from across the atlantic. Having a citizen killed and responding with ignorance is utterly devastating for any last bit of democracy thats left. Stay safe us pals.

People have to make sacrifices. It’s a matter of lose a little or lose it all.

There are a number of amendments that allow for showing our displeasure.

Stop supporting businesses that support this regime. Actively protest them for their support of this regime.

Civil unrest, civil disobedience, general strike.

@Freelancevagrant had the right idea.

I went to the No Kings Rally, but my felling was that it was more of a way to show the world that not everyone in the US is in agreement with the Trump government.

I understand your frustration and sentiment. I was sick to my stomach all day thinking about that poor woman and the rest of us that live. In a country with a psychopath for a president.

Not supporting businesses that support Trump would mean completely getting off the internet and not using my phone.

I don’t think there is only quick fix to what is going on in our country. My children are growing up in a world without civility. Trump is the effect not the cause.

I feel you, we’re all in the same boat. The No Kings Rallies simply are not enough. Simple protest really isn’t enough, especially when the other side plays by their own set of rules. I think there’s really some hard decisions to be made, and some major sacrifices to be made by some individuals if we are to get out of this situation whole. There’s a lot more of us than there is them.

I think like minded individuals need to band together locally. To form groups to protect and keep eachother safe. To have backup plans on how to skirt financially supporting this mess.

I think we also need to find a way to stop funding this mess federally en masse.

“Deadly force is perfectly lawful when a threat is faced by a weapon.”
Kristi Noem

So this is acceptable by the federal government?
Ok. Government says it’s cool, so if you see the Gestapo out harming people I guess it’s our legal right to act to save people. Got it.
Thanks Kristi!

No, not for us, that’s just for them.  They’re different, silly

NSPM-7 gives them the ability to arbitrarily name anyone a terrorist, justifying their murder or indefinite imprisonment.  If all else fails theyll just say you’re Antifa and get away with whatever they want do to you.

The goal here is two-fold: One cause general terror in blue-states and 2 reduce blue state population in anyway to help increase GOP representation in the House.

Districting is not based how many citizens live in an area, but how many residents. Chipping away at blue state population in anyway helps red states get more seats in the house. And, I think they believe California is 99.99% undocumented immigrant, so they think it'll hurt the blue states/cities a lot.

ICE announced that in honor of Trump, they reduced ICE training time to just 47 days.

It takes more time to get a decent sourdough starter going.

We all just did it like 5 years ago. A general strike looks more and more conceivable. The AI bubble pop is gonna wipe out huge job numbers anyway so maybe it will all coalesce. It's funny to me but the hardship this will cause would probably be the catalyzing moment they've been looking for but it will come to late and they won't know fuck all to do about it.

Boycott the World Cup. I know people love their football but FIFA is enabling this just like Hershey's and Paramount.

The ‘officer’ shoots her in the face and the calls her a fucking bitch. Obviously, the guy was pissed at her like the guy who murdered his wife cause his football team lost. And Vance says this proves he was afraid for his life.

Texas just gave it's list of 18million registered voters to the Trump admin. Only a day after Vance mentioned he's going to have ICE go door-to-door checking papers. Aside from being a HUGE violation of the 4th amendment, it's a pretty convenient timeline.

Funny how MAGA went from "Don't Tread On Me" when Biden was in office to "TREAD RIGHT HERE!!" when Trump came back into office.

Thing is, if this is the level in which they’ve raised the stakes (and they have), then there is no reason why individuals shouldn’t be looking towards their 2a rights for self protection.

To me it seems like it’s “submit to a trampling, or fight back while being trampled “.

I’m not brave, but I know where I wanna be given those 2 options.

Not American. (BTW watching from the outside your country that we grew up idolising is fucking wild and absolutely horrific) Isn't the whole point of you guys' right to bear arms for this exact fucking situation? I get that the majority of the 2A nuts are going to be on Trump's side but like, I kind of would have expected at least something to happen by now. What's the point in all crying about how important it is that you maintain the right to arm yourselves if you're just going to sit back and let an authoritarian's private police force go out and shoot people in their cars? All those dead schoolchildren's lives seem even more in vein now

Edit - who was the guy with the Reggie Kelly avatar on here who was always defending gun ownership so vehemently? You out there shooting ICE agents in your city or what?

Respectfully, I feel like you answered your own question...

It's horrific being on the outside looking in? Imagine how terrifying it is being here.

The only good thing that will come out of this is that there will be some great American rap music for all you foreigners to idolize and mimic when this is all over and done with (if we survive)...

Because MAGA 2A people love this.

They always cry they need to be armed in case they need to stand up to a tyrannical government. But when the tyrannical government happens to be their guy, they’re okay with putting their guns down and kicking their feet up.

When Obama wanted to make sure everyone had health coverage and couldn’t be denied based on pre-existing conditions, they were locked and loaded.

This is way less important than what’s happening with ICE, but still worth paying attention to imo. This video breaks down how moronic the new dietary guidelines are.

Only moronic in the sense that when Michelle Obama tried to introduce the same plan in 2012 (after moving away from the old food pyramid to the new plate program) the GOP cried out that it was government overreach and her plan to make kids healthy was creating a “nanny state.”

Because apparently, health advice is only worth taking from someone who did heroin for a dozen years, willingly ate road kill and had literal brain worms.
