New trucks are fine.
I was a "new trucks are the worst" guy for a long time, recently bought a new set of Ventures.
On the way to the session I was even thinking "gotta break in the new trucks so this session will probably suck".
Forgot all about it and just skated like normal, didn't have any problems with any tricks, even a crook on the flat rail locked in just fine.

New shoe day is still the worst.

I find bushings actually break in relatively nicely, it’s how slippery the new hangers feel that takes some getting used to. Also if you’re putting in Riptide pivot cups, they can be a rough time to break in for the first sesh

New truck break in is a myth purported by dudes whove never left the skatepark. Trucks you can dial in and weather a bit dicking around on the local curb for an hour or 2. Same with wheels if you find a gritty enough area. Skateparks are too smooth I find if you do suffer from those psychological problems. If you want your shit to feel mint you gotta get out there and get it all knackered and dirty naturally. Skatepark to sterlie of an enviorment for that sorta thing. Same with shoes you need to be brushing em up and kicking on some rough surfaces to bypass break in. If you just using the shit at the Skatepark it gonna take longer to break in always.

I’m right there with you. I don’t skate new gear too often. I tend to skate set ups and shoes until they’re completely done. Set up a Christmas complete just after the new year. New trucks and wheels felt pretty crazy at first but surprisingly had little to no problems getting used to it. Skating Indy standards, loosened them up just a tad. 54 Spitfire conicals with Swiss inside felt so smooth. I think it’s mostly gear madness in our heads that makes us skeptical of skating new trucks.
