Frankie at least has tricks. If we're on the dickies team slander, the appeal of Jake Hayes completely escapes me. The slow mo, high popped tricks from the side is corny. Deathwish makes no sense on him. Andrew Brophy gives me the same vibes.

I don’t understand how some of you aren’t into his Parappa the Rapper fits: adorable.

Those beanies look cool when worn on occasion, I think mangos worn a few and I think I remember genesis Evans wearing one with extra long strings, when it’s in every single clip it’s annoying.
Plus his full dickies fit matched with some (imo) really ugly new balances, rainbow vomit setup all combine into a vile concoction. Not a fan of the Bennett/willy grind flip in/out combos either.

She's just another trendy crust-punk looking skater that only does ride-on grinds, slappies, and drop ins. I'll fast forward those clips every time, just very mediocre skating.

I love Franky Villani tho, switch inwards give you a pass for the weird fits and colored wheels, which don't really bother me in the first place.

While we're on skaters we don't like... Nelly Moreville is very very meh. I know she's a Slap darling, but she's not impressive at all. She's just another trendy crust-punk looking skater that only does ride-on grinds, slappies, and drop ins. I'll fast forward those clips every time, just very mediocre skating.

Nah, she does more than that and deserves more credit than that.
Having said that...one thing that kinda irks me about Nelly Moreville is she skates almost identical to T-funk with the whole tucked knee sidewalk surfer fake steez thing.

i agree her first notable parts were all drop ins and roll on grinds but over the last year or two she's added more variety to her trick selection i think she's improved with every subsequent part

fuck but my new unpopular opinion is that reynolds, while being one of the top skaters ever career and legacy-wise, does not have one of the greatest styles ever. it’s not bad, definitely above average, he has his tricks like v heels and frontside flips that look beautiful when he does em but like his kickflip is pretty average imo, purely aesthetically speaking. his switch skating style is also not that great

as far as tall skaters go BA for example is much more graceful on a board imo, but reynolds is on a whole another level when it comes to their output

Her most impressive clip IMO was a kickflip down a 6 stair. Everything else, big meh.

Hayes has clean style for sure. Just boring as all hell. Like video games can probably map his style onto all characters cause it can just blanket as textbook execution. I think i just look for more distinctiveness when I categorize "good" style.

Halfcab I can understand why people like them. It's a pretty unique shoe with a long history directly tied to skating. I stopped skating then because I hate how potatoey they can look. I never really understood Janoskis though.
