That’s why I pose the question….what is our baseline?

I've never been a fan, but I've never been a big sitcom guy in general.
Love comedy, but for some reason mostly stick to sketch comedy, animation, and movies.
There have been exceptions, like Flight of the Conchords, Our Flag Means Death, Peep Show, Increasingly Poor Decisions of Todd Margaret, etc.
I guess I just don't gravitate towards big network sitcoms.
Do animated comedy shows count as sitcoms?
I don't even remember what I'm talking about anymore.

I started roller skating a couple months ago because I've been burned out on skating for a while, and it's really fun. A lot of the fundamental skills carry over so I've been learning stuff fairly quickly

My goal is to be a derby dyke by 2026

Crazy to hear the skills carry over, when I see people skating quads at the park it freaks me out, it looks terrifying.
Especially when they skate ramps and have their feet pointing sideways, I'd have to have an ambulance on standby before I tried that.
And I don't understand how bailing works. It looks like you just have to go all in on every attempt.
I'd definitely have to wear knee pads.

Mad respect for the roller skaters, they're easily my favorite non-skateboarders at the skatepark.

Oh yea the knee pads are essential, I'd be fucked without them. My crew is a mix of skateboarders and quad skaters so it was an easy transition to make with friends there to teach me the basics

the presence of roller skaters having fun makes a skate session more enjoyable

Honestly....pretty much.
Winning SOTY and riding for popular brands isn't an instant pass for me.

I was never questioning the motives of the skaters, but the public opinion of the skaters for doing so.
My whole point was why are most skaters condemned for accepting corporate sponsorship but Tyshawn is praised for it?
So many are dragged through the mud for skating for an energy drink, which I don't necessarily even disagree with, but Tyshawn is praised for rolling with Louis Vuitton and Warby Parker which...I guess this is unpopular but I personally don't think is very cool either.
I don't even mean uncool from an ethical point of view, I mean...I just don't think Louis Vuitton is a cool company, I think their shit is wack as fuck disposable garbage for privileged, basic douchebags and they can fuck off.

I think the fact that you're asking about a general category of skater versus specifically Tyshawn kinda answers your question. Most people find him and what he does more interesting than *insert generic Red Bull rider here*.
