Hi.
My name is Lou & I’m here for the D&D convo.
It’s been a few years since I played- have you tried the updates?
Yep. New updates are fun & add some variety.
Started playing again in the last few years to have another fun indoor activity to engage my two boys with on rainy days, etc, so they aren’t face down in a screen for hours on end.
Just recently rolled up a new character after building an exhaustive backstory for him.
As chance would have it, I, like
@GnarAlarm am a Monk, though I’m still only Level 1 & as such, I've not (yet) designated which monastic tradition I’m an adherent of, since I’ve not even completed our first campaign w/ this new guy. Suffice to say, he’ll also be a disciple of The Way of the Open Hand when the time comes, in order to fit the storyline I've created for him.
I was having trouble finding a figurine that represented the specifics I wanted, so I initially built one out of Lego mini-figure parts & it came out rad, but then my kids showed me that Hero Forge website where you can custom build your own character figurine & have it 3D-printed for a stupid amount of money, so… I did THAT.
Poor guy is practically naked in the wilderness w/ no armor beyond textile garments & a small hatchet & grain flail/thresher to protect himself with.
It’s been a lot of fun so far & im looking forward to rolling a lot of dice while the family & I are on vacation together in a couple weeks.
Wholesome fun.
