The white guys who think think they get a pass to say N-word because of where and/or how they grew up, maybe they have a few black friends who let it slide in private.

As a Midwest white guy with some redneck in him, I agree.
I just don't do it and I don't have any urge to and don't feel like I'm missing out on anything by not using it.
Every time I meet a white guy (or honestly even more commonly a hispanic or asian guy) who thinks for whatever reason it's okay for them to use that word I'm just like...whether or not that's okay is not for YOU to decide, and if you can't use it in mixed/unfamiliar company that's a goddamn good sign that it's NOT okay.
