I just watched Aimu do this, and it’s Aimu - so it was as clean as possible, but it looks bad to me. Landing in varial heel position just makes the quick up ollie gross.

I saw one a few months ago where the guy did a switch quick up ollie into a fakie trick, so he lands his switch ollie right into fakie position. This was the worst example I can remember. Maybe it’s just me. I don’t have too many skating peeves but that one actually makes me cringe

this is a solid take. i have similar feelings. ultimately i really don’t mind when people set up before the next trick. somehow this seems to have become a taboo in some circles because it’s not clean or smooth or whatever. though, i think landing with your feet in position in and of itself is a skill, i agree with you that in many situations it just looks kinda silly. cool guy shit.

I didn’t hate that one. As good as I’ve ever seen that performed. I don’t think that clip makes the edit without the quick up to nollie position though
