I feel like DLX is not that cool guy, really just Spitfire and Venture. thunder seems like people are mostly just on there cause they are getting paid not cause they prefer the trucks.

Real has a great team and makes quality boards but it’s the 2nd most bland major brand in skateboarding.
Santa Cruz is the most bland and real comes right after imo.
Every pro I like that’s on real I would love to see them on other brands.

Also bland doesn’t equal wack. There are def brands that are wack and I don’t think real is wack.

Unfortunately I agree. Real was one of the sickest brands back in the day but with no real art direction everything feels sterile and sorta “one size fits all”

It’s puzzling how they’ve arrived at this with how much history and impact the brand has. Maybe it’s intentional

The oval is a timeless and close to perfect ine aize fits all logo/graphic. That and the city blocks could be  every graphic, hat, or tshirt and hold up

some of his tricks like his varial heel and his shuv tricks are just done with such flawless execution that i understand the hype completely

but as far as trick/spot selection, creativty, and gnar factor, i prefer watching his teammate kyonosuke's footage

I agree 100,000,000% a deck is a deck wheelbase nose and tail, I won't skate those weird tapered Baker shapes but best believe if it checks all the boxes I'm absolutely down.

I’m with you on this. I’ve said it before maybe in this thread or his thread. The overly baggy fits don’t suit him like a mid 2000’s Wade or Grant Patterson. And the slumpy, hands in his pockets landings just seem gimmicky or forced. Doesn’t have that chill natural style like Twuan or Herm. He’s super talented though and I can see why people are drawn to him.

Plan B(land) is way up at the top, too. Occasionally Real puts out a graphic that I think is really cool, but otherwise, totally agree. Real makes great stuff, and it’s great what have done/do for skateboarding…but their overall aesthetic and brand “identity” is just so…mundane.
