The “trick tip” thing: I was like 16, was trying cabs down a small 2 flat 2 at Kona, I could cab drops, but nothing with distance. Dude rolls up and goes “don’t dig for an angle, jump straight up and try to keep that leading shoulder open when you’re landing. If nothing else get your elbow behind your hip, it’ll help, I swear…” it worked. I LOVE stuff like this, even unsolicited, when it’s non invasive and truly insightful.
But I hated the park “trick tip guide” just fucking roaming around doing fakie big flips or whatever all day but only landing with one foot on the board every try, that vibe, like: “no dude put your feet like THIS…”
