Blake Carpenter was the one who switch 360 flip 5-0'd an actual handrail and nobody cared because he was silly enough to do it in a Dekline video, instead of doing it immediately after the Dekline video when he was on Nike.
A video that also premiered with the knowledge of him getting on Nike. That was funny watching him dodge the question at the premiere.
I think he's underrated / overlooked as fuck. Kinda reminds me of like a Tony Tave or Trapasso. Got such a good ollie and switch tre which makes him pretty golden in my book.
I disagree, per the aforementioned new shoe sponsor at his “former” shoe sponsors video premiere. He hasn’t been dropped from anyone and he left Toy Machine of his own volition. A number of people in this board wanted him on Girl!!
I find Blake a very forgettable individual and skater, despite his technical abilities. And I fully expect one of these men to say “people think vinyl is cool and we thought that was cool for a brand name” at some point.
Yah I realise that him doing tricks such as the sw360flip 5-0 is probably what led to him getting on the likes of Nike. I don't actually think he's an idiot for that, it's just funny to think about a possible past where he did while on Nike and it led to it getting remembered more or having more impact.
Now that you mention it I could have seen him on Girl previously and fitting.
I don't find his skating forgttable in the slightest, but do find his clothing a bit generic and literally had the exact same thought about the name of the company lmao.
