boardslide to 5-0 on double sided curb
« on: January 20, 2025, 11:30:47 AM »
any tips or tricks? got a long double sided curb near my house, can boardslide it but want to come off it with a 5-0 bonk just can't figure out how to get enough air/get the back wheel to come up over high enough

do you have to really dive the nose down or something to pick up the tail?

ex: 1:18 mark in this vid https://youtu.be/sthJooLOtaI?si=n2k4Lb6KXUA0jrPg

When I’ve been able to do them I’ve noticed a couple things.
- don’t stay perpendicular to the curb/ ledge. Shift to an almost feeble/ 45 degree-ish angle right before the pop over.
- it feels like a weak nollie but with an exaggerated shift to your back foot. Think see saw. Then a hop out. Almost like bonking your back wheels off the top of the curb. Speed and light feet are the key.
-weight has to be forward of mid board to get over .
-plan on hanging and falling forward. Your getting close if you fall forward.

-just realized I roll my back ankle towards my tail to help unweight.
