i for one am glad the mods go heavy with the ban hammer, culling the outright a-holes. i was just riffing off the statement the op made about being pleasantly surprised that people here are NOT on some dumb shit. it’s not really a surprise though. this site is increasingly a safe space on issues like these, and for a just reason, as many pointed out in response to my comment.

After watching the Village Psychic video with him discussing suicide awareness, etc. a while back, I thought fairly well of him. Now reading that excerpt from the Jenkem article (yes I read the whole article), I feel really disappointed. I would’ve thought that he would be the person to call out guests on their BS and be one of the more “real” ones seeing as he’s worked behind the scenes in the industry for so long. Instead I read that he’s keeping Chris from pointing out these important issues. I expected better from Roger.

One thing about Roger/nine club - is their inability to discuss skateboarding in a critical manner. And I get why, skateboarding is such a small industry that nobody wants to burn any bridges. The only time I remember him saying anything bold was that stuff with Jason Jesse.

I am not sure what this says about the skateboarding, when GH is the sole voice of reason - ethicist.

If there was a streaming platform where royalties were given when parts are viewed, that'd be the way to go: instead of the uploader being compensated, if they do, it should be re-directed toward the people who produced it. Please consider that y'all when you try to develop a new platform; whomever it may be.

For example, I like you, watch older skate videos uploaded along with individual parts: if the person/people who made them received a remuneration akin to that with music streaming, it could be the way to go; with that, if you release independent DVDs, consider copyrighting them.
