my friend was saying this dumb ass shit to me the other day that women are not getting scholarships cause of trans and this and that... i am not saying it never happened once, maybe even more than once... but I can't imagine anyone would in their right mind choose to become a female, cut off their dick, etc. just to get free college...

I said also you never cared about womens sports before, why is it now important to people? lol they never got any air time for most sports other than tennis, golf, curling.

I actually do watch a lot of womens sports - my wife is really into swimming, we watch skateboarding, tennis - all featured women. take a look at the rosters, there is no trans domination in any sport that i have ever seen. we had 1 "incident" in a tiny skateboard competition (wasnt an actual pro contest...) and i heard about something in cycling before. in just about every sport, it is actually banned... like did you even watch the olympics bro? there was nothing liek what you are describing.

professional sports are an industry generating billions of dollars. it would be unpopular for them to have unfair competitions, no one wants to see that either im pretty sure everyone agrees that is dumb. capitalism actually sorts this itself.

I read the interview and I'm having a hard time mapping it to the conversation on here. If I just followed this thread I'd think he said some super inappropriate and specific things. But I don't see that in the interview. He makes general statements about trying to separate politics (or even personal actions) and skateboarding, and fine you have a different opinion than him on that, but the comments here seem to be responding to things that are not in that interview. That’s what I for from it too, more so for his benefit for the show. Sites already exist that do high res scans of full mags from the past like skatemedianerd. Songs are still getting listed daily on skatevideosite. There’s YouTube pages archiving videos like skate video vault. If you actually wanted a specific issue of just about any skate mag, lookback library can get it for you and pretty sure he’s willing to scan anything for you for a small fee. There’s also countless cult of pages of so many skaters archiving footage and photos of skaters. Archiving has and still exist in different platforms, this isn’t anything new and if people really wanted to put money into this, it would have happened already. Roger is just fucking lazy and would rather it come to him.
