Roger getting wrecked in Jenkems own comments is remarkable. up to 10 pages now
[close]

This and whatever is happening there will only justify and solidify his absurd views. I'm surprised he fell for the trap really. He had to know he is isn't influential or important enough for his mistakes to be edited out. It happens, but it isn't going to happen for him.
[close]

not to mention jenkem themselves also getting eviscerated just as hard by their own comment section

even their own website patrons seem to know that jenkem is over.

Looking forward to 57 minutes of GH systematically dismantling this bloke. Another disaffected, grifty neo-lib "entrepreneur"... Joa's really got a type lately.

Limewire?! That’s still a thing? Or did I wake up in 2004 today?

It was the first "free file sharing" site which came up after Googling. You guys can't have my personal Dropbox address. Hopefully there are fewer viruses than in the 2004 version.

Here's a different option.

Would like to hear this but that link is concerning. Summarize it please?

More I think about it, I feel bad for Roger in the same way I feel bad for anyone who struggles in public. He seems very unhappy, like he regrets his choices and is flailing around trying to make sense of his life. A sour dude with a sour world view, who feels like things have passed him by.

If that’s just a link to a gh patreon stream I’ll just wait the week it takes him to formally address the issue and put out a proper YT

It's an unedited pre-recorded vid. He's keeping the video off YouTube cause he doesn't think it's worth dragging Roger publicly when he already did it to himself in the interview. I don't think there will be a YT version.

Why don't you cheap fucks shell out the $5 for the video and countless other vids instead of being choosy beggers?  ::)

edit: He also said he's tired of his shit being reposted on slap but yet here we are - interesting from a userbase so bent on upholding morals

I love how people talk about how much they despise GH then they get a whiff of a new patreon video and their neck starts to itch and eye starts to twitch while they wait for the someone to leak the link.

OK, short recap of what he covered:
  • Doesn't want to do another complicated lightning-rod video so soon after the Cole thing, thinks Roger is pathetic and probably suicidal.
  • Roger loves Tim Pool and the GH video criticizing Tim turned Roger against him.
  • The Oblow Nine Club backlash made Roger mad and resent the public - the "insane part" quote was probably a reference to Chase Webb. GH doesn't even have an issue with talking about the Webb part because he was the only person who faced any consequences, Loy and Nyjah walked away scott free.
  • Accountability is just part of having an audience.
  • People told GH terrible things about Jason Ellis, thinks the industry is littered with bad people and that this will continue to happen.
  • Doesn't think every show is obligated to weigh in on every controversy, makes sense that not everyone will get involved.
  • Calls Roger a coward for not directly naming him.
  • This one really stuck out to me: The Nine Club's business model relies on good relations with the skate industry, GH doesn't. Doesn't care if the industry turns on him. Will stop making videos if there's no demand.
  • Embarrassing that there's so much controversy around telling the truth. GH videos shouldn't matter this much. Doesn't see this as a "left or right" issue, it's right or wrong.
  • Doesn't want to do a Huberman video because it would be too many political commentaries.
  • Thinks Crob has to be deeply pissed at Roger for doing the Jenkem piece.

I shelled out to his patreon a while ago and its a waste of $5...Joa should be glad his unlisted shit gets shared, 99% of the shit I saw was cringe and most times dude was just drunk

Also morality has nothing to do with piracy...maybe youre thinking ethics.

Damn won everyone over with that Village Psychic piece then lost everyone with a Jenkem piece.

Love how he tries to throw skateshops under the bus by saying "Every skate shop is now a brand..."

And then "...now we’ve got a whole warehouse full of sweatshirts and shirts. We set up an online skate shop on the Nine Club site too, which we haven’t really told anyone about just yet..."

Holy shit just went and checked out their online skateshop, it's so fucking random https://thenineclub.com/collections/skate-shop

5035 products? Definitely some sort of third party hosting site selling stuff for brands or other shops.

As someone who runs an online store for a shop this is really making me laugh. It looks like shit.

not that it matters, but it looks like they partnered with endless grind. That's the only shop I can think of that prices wheels per wheel, but only lets you add 4 to the cart at a time.

argggghhhhhhh

Part of me feels bad for rog. it seems he's let his delusions get the better of him. A lot of his political alignments are typical for the terminally online. He seems to be swatting at shadows; mad at people for no reason. A lot of this reads with a pretty strong sense of apathy. Hopefully he gets his perspective straightened out and moves away from the internet/spotlight as much as possible.

A lot of his issues come down to confidence. A lot of the criticism of the nine club comes down to their spinelessness and generally milquetoast quality. If he had confidence in his ideas he wouldn't be worried about "the trolls winning" or whatever he asks himself after setting up another fake scenario to worry about in the nine club editing bay. They've handled situations poorly in the past because they were indecisive and spineless and this shows in rogers general demeanor, and obviously pent up frustration, which he directs at his detractors through humiliating himself.
