so I hung up on a 6' ramp coming in from a disaster and slammed down to the pavement. When I got up all I could feel was the pain of my left wrist. I go home and the next day I wake up and can hardly breathe. My whole left-side rib cage is fucking killing me. For the last three days I've been in pretty bad pain. The ribs hurt to the touch, they hurt when I take a deep breath, and they hurt like hell when I do something like... try and close a window.
Would you think it's bruised ribs or broken ribs? Should I even bother going to the doctor? What can they even do for bruised or broken ribs besides give you asprin? It just seems odd to me that the night I did it, I noticed hardly any discomfort in my ribs.

maybe just cracked ribs? i broke a rib a few years back and it completely sucked.
asprin won't do much for the pain, you need something a lot stronger like vicoden or hydrocodone
don't go to the hospital because theres no way to re-attach you rib if its broken. they're just going to wrap it up, tell you not to move around too much, then hand you a $1000+ bill.
just buy a velcro body wrap and keep it on for the few weeks, thats what i did.
