I dont think so, if you watch Tony's part in Its Time, it looks like its the same set from good and evil, with rails on both sides of the stairs

They're two different rails.

The one Heath is backside lipping IS the one from good and evil-it's a triple set of 3-3-4.

The tony tave cover i think prlly is the rail drehobl 5-0'd and Van Wastell back blunt shuv it out.

Nope, not the same rail. Tony is skating the silver rail that Sumner was skating in the post a few up. He backsmithed it, and switch back lipped the other side. Easiest way to see a difference is that theres a gap out on the set that Heath is skating for the side Tony sw back lipped and there was no gap out of the rail Tony skated.

the Skateboarder cover....It wouldve looked a lot better if he had been in the 50-50 still. Unless you have very good vision and can read that cover caption, it looks way too much like a 5-0. Really sick trick though.

ok this is Johnny Layton's good and evil part:

watch at where he skates the same rail as heath abouve, a triple set rail of 3-3-4, displayed at 3:30, below, doing a 50-50 then front board, notice the background and landing, location, black rail, etc:

on the other hand watch Tony Taves Circa part:

pay attention at 4:08 where tony's trick is displayed, you will notice it is a different rail, a 9 stair displayed below, notice the silver/grey rail, the background, fence, etc:

any questions?

I didn't notice the fence, but the rails look exactly the same. My bad.

The most damning distinction is the top of tony's rail, notice it actually starts out flat at the top of and before the stairs back to the fence, then goes down at the stairs, where the other rail is just a down rail.

I was wrong about it being the rail drehobl and wastell skated though:

Along with outrageous plant life at drehobl's rail, notice the subtle distintion of the ledge that the rail is "planted" in(pun intended). In tony's the ledge stays horizontal into the ground, while' dan's stops at the end of the stairs/rail. also, drehobl's rail seems to be a 10 stair, opposed to tony's 9.

And with Wastell's I was just way off, it isn't even sitting in any concrete casing thing:

pobodies nerfect.

Gotta be the Heath cover, pure style as always and the layouts the easiest on the eyes.

Agreed. Skating's more than rails, and to be honest, rail pics for covers could use a fucking break
Yeah Skateboarder cover does it for me.. Rail pics need to calm down.. especially, BS lip/FS lip/50-50/5-0/KG/FSB/FS Smith.

So what is the criteria anyway? Seems as if some people just pick the skater and if that is the case then it should be the best skater on the cover showdown. I think that for a real cover showdown it should be something like this:

Skater 25%
Trick 25%
Layout 25%
Cover lines 15%
Overall look & feel 10%

Seems lame when its (fill in the blank) because ________ is on the cover.

that's just my wasted 2 cents.

clientele.
