I got a job offer to be a site coordinator for a boys and girls club center. Couple problems though. The pay is lower than what I was doing before but it's more hours. Also they require a drug test and I took an edible yesterday. So if anyone has any tips to get the THC out of my system it would be greatly appreciated.

My boss got fired today for harassing multiple employees in a 6 month span. They adored me and got me a decent promotion but also made my life hell with the amount of additional work they put on my plate. Stoked I can fuck some things off and finally get back to a healthier work/life balance

I almost got in a car accident because this woman tried to turn left from a non-turning lane. She was two lanes to the right. Luckily, I braked before she turned. It irritated me even more after she gave me a dirty look as if I was in the wrong, but I’m just glad I don’t have to waste my time and money getting repairs.

Edit:
I overpaid for decks for the chance of getting autographed ones, but didn’t. Stoked that I’m going to skate both since they aren’t autographed and are fun shapes.

One of my lossless music DAP (Fiio X1, 1st generation) has a lithium battery that swollen up so bad it has popped open the back panel.

While searching out online how to replace it and looking up a replacement battery, I found out it can run without an internal battery while plugged into a USB power source.

This is a huge relief. I can just have it plugged into USB with phone charger battery if I need it to go anywhere, and I don’t have to wait weeks for a battery that might work inside it after soldering it in.

As an additional bonus, I found out an updated firmware had been released years after I bought it, and now, after updating, the user interface is snappier and everything is working faster.

You have over 4400 posts on slap and you still don't know the secret to passing a piss test?

You and the D00D have turned this thread into a horrible head-on-collision between a short bus full of regular kids and a van full of paraplegics.

I got asked to interview again by a small YouTube thing again. I want to but I don’t. I wish I could talk to like the Bunt. Also they’re more a graff thing. Cuz I gave up painting long ago I feel like a poser when I talk to mags. Also I was super hated in the graffiti scene so I know it’s gonna be a negative thing.
I think I’m gonna say no.  Hold it all for The Bunt. I want to reach skaters who might be struggling in recovery. I mean I did foolishly use graffiti as an anti drug for a while but the ends was extremely negative.

There’s enough negativity in the world rn. I want to foster positivity.
Album link. I saw another pals account   Photos too big. Apologies. I know some of yall hate me for it

i'd be quite interested to hear some of your stories but im no local. but i also completely understand the imposter syndrome feeling.
funnily enough i've had the opposite. i'm way more comfortable with my graff but i ended up getting features on a skate shops youtube (and not even a local). and i suck at skating. i did not deserve that at all.

did get one piece in a graff mag that also feels so out of place since its an asian mag.

Not stoked I’m out the cost of surgery and loss of pay for 2 days.

I found one of those shitty plastic kicker ramps in the woods yesterday but unfortunately it’s one of those shitty plastic kicker ramps. Feels like a death trap but I still want to try it out.

all week I been pressed about this  car I found for sale but I finally got a response and getting cold feet

I really just wanna learn how to drive manual to be a better valet. It’s pretty dumb. Well not really. This one of my favorite jobs and I see the potential. One of my bosses just got back from fl and won an award. I wanna be the best and the best valets drive stick imo. Idk if that’s true but it ups your rep/value

But bout the car im thinking idk a little scared of a dud, getting robbed, all the fees, and that I can’t drive it yet.

Wanted to take some lesson but the lessons + insurance bill just don’t make sense. Fck it I messaged em back. I think im a just do it. Wanted to wait till winter to get a car but it ain’t promised I need to move now. If this car make it do the end of the year it would be worth it for me. I prolly won’t even drive it that much I just need something to practice in sometimes.

Guess stoked cause I got a good manual lead
Not stoked cause im scared

My job that I hate very much has finally started to give me enough hours to survive over the last few months which I’m very appreciative of. Feels good to finally save up a little coin again for the first time in a few years. Management who initially hated me and treated me like shit have finally started to give me respect since they see my work ethic and dedication. I still fucking hate my job though and aim to get back in to the trades this summer.

Just beat my previous 5k time by about 2 minutes. I wish I hadn't given away a lot of my rad skate and band shirts when I was fat and depressed.

My back pain is gone but got replaced with neck and shoulder pain. It’s probably best that I don’t skate for a couple days because it hurt from doing noseslides on a ledge that wasn’t even knee height. Tylenol, neck exercises and guitar for a couple days.

My brother just bought his kid a Honda CRV and it’s a manual. He’s gonna teach her and hopes that it being a stick will ward off thieves. I guess he’s hoping a thief checks the gears before smashing the window??

Thanks man

And yeah manual car thiefs got a be small group. Honda wheels are hot commodities tho. And the ppl that break windows don’t discriminate, whatever block they choose they just hit every car. But I guess that’s what insurance/savings for. Sure everything will be fine. Seem like a smart choice to me.

might sounds insane but i can only drive manual. no idea how a automatic works. never touched one. should be simpler, but i have like no idea how it even looks.

in my country by law you had to get your drivers lessons/test in a manual, and manual are also still the most common cars here.

Your shifter is just one straight line with like park, reverse, neutral whatever. Actually a lot of never cars are doing like buttons, knobs to turn all type of weird shit [swipe a screen on tesla]. Some older cars used to have like that lever think you crank to position but once in drive you just press gas and go vrooomm press break to  stop. No thinking at all.

But oh at work just got a manual car out the garage around two corners and to the guest. A little traffic. Only stalled twice. I am so fucking stoked. And he tipped be $5. I was so scared when he was leaving, was taking a while but I think he’s all good. Hopefully I’m off when he gets back.

This is me before leaving Germany. But when I finally had to drive automatic it took about a minute to learn. The other way around seems way more difficult.

Stoked and not stoked on skateboarding. Not stoked on recent happenings. My all time favorite skateboarder died. I read here that his partner said he genuinely suffered. I'm emotionally affected by that. And there's a bunch of bummer shit on the first page of UWTB.

Also super stoked. 3 parks within 15 minutes of my house got makeovers. The latest is mad fun and has a friendly little scene. It's cool to show up and be like what up to the locals there. Met a new skate bud, he and I are like 20 years older than everyone else. Been doing some new stuff for a change and just having a lot of fun.

I went to Safeway this evening to get Cheerios ($1.79 per box) and I saw the Starbucks Frappuccino things in the cereal isle. This set off memories of being 17 being half awake driving to school drinking one of these caffeine/sugar bombs while chain smoking.

Fuck me, what an amazing moment of life. I miss that moment of begrudging responsibility mixed with youthful hedonism.

But it is a moment that I won't recreate anytime soon. I don't think I've smoked a cigarette in the last 10 years and I can't justify drinking a million grams of sugar.
