My cd got a thick scratch today and I'm getting error mesages.

all hope is not lost friend. install that shit to the hard drive and play it from there. not only does it not matter how wrecked the disc is, its also a lot more quiet.
This happened to my Gta 4 a few days ago and it couldn't install it
rent or borrow it from someone. the plus if you rent it, is you can just swap out the busted ass disc for the fresh blockbuster disc. double plus, after the ol switcheroo, take it back and tell em its broke and you want your money back or a different game.
its a very sound practice.
I've considered this, but around here at least, all rental dvd's and games don't have any sort of disk art, or if they do it'll be like the movie's original dvd art printed in gray scale and dumbed down.
I'd feel like such a jackoff getting caught trying to do this and losing my rental account
