-HUF Sutter-

Third pair of these badboys. Pretty addicted at this point.
[close]

I am skating those, along with the Black and White ones regularly. I saw the Fall 2015 line, and the Sutters are going to be great, along with the ones coming out in a week or so.

[close]
Any links for that?
[close]
I don't have the links. The owner of the skateshop showed me the line. A lot of basic blacks and neutral treys. Basic dark colors for the entire line.
[close]
Got these too. First pair of hugs and kinda like them. Have any of you guys tried removing the insole and adding something. Wondering if I should do that.
You should. They advertise it being an ortholite insole but that means dick for skating. The insoles will pack out real bad and might give you some heel bruises. Fortunately the insole isn't too well glued.

I'm a pretty big emerica fan, but I'm super pumped on trying out these bad boys on the weekend. Anyone had these? Thoughts?

bought mine and didn't had a change to skate them because it tore just after I laced them.

emailed lakai a couple of times and got no response whatsoever. really disappointed.

Definitely bad stitching. Maybe get a return from the place you bought them?

Maybe try to contact them on instagram or twitter - I know a bunch of people who have had luck from that when calling customer service doesn't pan out.

Those white Doc Martins a page back would look good if you were Ma$e in the 90s or worked at a gay Latino carwash.

I don't / can't wear them where I work. But you're comment did, honestly make me laugh. I've always loved them and will continue to do so.
I'm going to argue that Placebo owes their entire career to a Canadian dude's skate video part. Appleyard should be getting royalties for this shit.

yeah.

in my 6-7 years of consistently skating vans, i honestly don't know if i've ever skated the slip on pros, but these are great, the cushioning is perfect.

Are they true to size? I usually wear a 9.5 in cts and 10 in emericas, what size do you recommend?

think i saw them in the recent catalog that was posted on here a while back.

Owen's are damn good, weeks in and they are still snug.

I am skating the Vans slip on pros right now and really like them. This is my third pair in the last year. I tried out the lakai owens and thought they were alright. The insole packed out pretty bad for me and the stitching around the leather trim broke apart after about a month of skating. Overall they were more comfortable than the slip on pros though, and the hem-less suede on the top of the foot is a nice touch.

i'd say the vans use way better leather. i always go through soles before uppers, and my owens had an ollie hole in about a week, before the soles had any bald spots at all. or maybe it's a function of being much narrower then the vans, with the board actually hitting the leather and not mostly hitting the foxing, like in the vans.

Finally got around to skating the Dylan.

The fit is interesting, to say the least. Unlike anything I've skated. I can see how some would hate it, some would love it. Very thin cupsole. A lot of feel, not very much support. Snug front to back. If you aren't looking at your feet, and just concentrating on the fit of the shoe, they feel perfect. To me anyway, because I like very tight fitting shoes. Heel lock is a vice. Where they can sort of throw you off is when you look down and remember you have Dylans on your feet. They look really pointy. My wife called them 'Prom Shoes'. And truth be told, I don't think I could wear these to the park or spot. That said, I'm also outside the target demo for these. But based on merit of pure skateability, it's a really nice shoe.

I have a pair of leather ones and I don't think I'm gonna skate them. I tried cruising around in them and got huge blisters on the back of my feet.

Adidas Ronan...approximately 8 hours on this pair.  The bumper is doing its job.  This is the last pair of these in my shoe stash.  Gonna miss these guys.  Gonna skate em into the ground.
