Why is it wrong to carry your board by the truck?

Sneaker/steetwear culture is is stupid as fuck.
Asking your friend to take "a cool pic" of your "fresh kicks" is just lame, but like I said, that's just my opinion.

I took the picture myself actually by some flowers in my front yard. Glad you enjoyed the photo! I don’t plan on skating these but they would skate great.

Having a picture like that taken of your brand new *fire emoji* sneakers has got to be one of the lamest things you can do, but that's just my opinion, so who cares...

Picked up the new AVE shoe today.

[close]

I keep debating on pulling the trigger on these. Is yours doing that weird crease thing? Also thoughts on them? Worth it etc?
[close]

Yeah. It’s like reinforcement meshed on the upper area.

I think they are worth it, I haven’t skated them yet but with the seamless construction and with the $100 price tag that it will last a while too.[\b]
[close]

So you’re saying that $100 price tag is a durability feature..? Like an ollie pad or triple stitched toe cap?

So far, these are some of the best shoes I have skated in and I am already planning on getting at least one more pair. I was hoping a Vans $25 off coupon would land in my lap, but to no avail. I'd love to have a black pair and a white pair of these ready to roll at all times.

Same. I kept trying to find a Labor Day sale with them but found nothing. Then I asked around if anyone knew anyone at a vans store. Found a friend of friend that does but their code or whatever they use they used on their kids back to school clothes so I’m waiting til they get another friends and family code.

Got some Crockett's off eBay for super cheap, had a few skates and they feel great but I'm not sure how well they'll hold up. Probably just dab a little glue on the areas getting the most wear and go from there.

The NB 617's held up shockingly well having been skated over a month; no significant wear albeit a tiny bit of glue on the mesh area, one lace snapped and they still feel pretty good, no floppiness etc and could easily skate them for another month or more but it's always nice to have a new pair to skate

Anyone had the Spanky G6 that I missed?  If so, thoughts on feel, size, etc. I might have ruined the Sheffield XLKs I’ve been skating going through a rain storm and I have a pair of Owen VLKs but am looking into other stuff. I’m interested in the new AVEs but am a little wary on dropping $100 these past few months.

I tried on a pair at a local shop a couple months ago.
All I remember is them being way too slim for my tastes. But I prefer big fat shoes.

havent skated them yet, but they feel like slimmer Reynolds (or a improved Laced). digging them.

Super soft suede upper that's super easy to break in. It doesn't have the most structure, but with a slim upper like that, that's kind of the point. The g6 foam makes the shoe decently cushy on the bottom too, but it still breaks in pretty quick. I randomly hiked 8 miles in them and my feet were just fine surprisingly.

My good friend only skates vulcs and after trying the spanky its the only shoe he skates.

TLDR: They hella comfy, break in easy, and the upper is super soft

yep, but i`ve got wide feet and a high arch, so "regular" feet might be doing fine going half a size down.

Holy shit i can't believe Manolo still owns these.
i feel like a lot of people don't own any eS's from this period (8-10 years ago), and i'm surprised to see you still rock them.
These were the ellipses right? These shits were kinda funky but i snagged a pair or two at the time just to chill in.

Not many colourways and styles are doing it for me at the moment. Though these 3st.004s look like puke these were 40% off.

One skate in and I'm in love. I'm not convinced about their longevity and am scared to heelflip for fear of the boost disintegrating, but they feel great and skate fantastically.
