Pretty buttery. They smell like Nordstroms.

I've been really interested to try these. Can you give an update how they skate? i can't tell how slim they are or what they look like compared to other shoes on the market

I'll skate them once they've broken in. They feel very sturdy, but not stiff. They are a bit on the narrow side, I have a narrow foot though, so they fit me well, but leave little room for error. I'd go .5 up a size if you have wide foot. The leather is supple and smooth and seems to be flexing easily.
My only complaint is that the tongue tends to curl under down near the end of the arch, which bugs me, but I just make sure the tongue is flat when I put them on.
The sole looks cool too. Its got deeper tread in the most abused places (forefoot and heel area).
Overall I'm happy with them. I like them for work, as I'm on my feet and they offer good support.
A lot of dweebs wear HUF but I've always been down for Hufnagel. I skated a curb with him in front of the old Sutter St. store in SF and he was rad.  I'd rather give him my money than say, Vans.

Currently skating the Huf Arenas which are on point and when they're done I'm gonna skate some Maranas I found today for 25 bucks.

I really like the look of the Maranas and I'm looking forward to skating them. The toe cap looks promising and the fit is pretty snug(the Arenas also have that perfect snug fit for me). I really need to start buying cupsole shoes more often.

The colourway isn't actually that bad in person, and although it's a pretty tired concept of the 'chiller' shoe, the quality of the materials and the cushioning is way above what nike and Etnies are doing at the moment

No offense to you, but I feel like the dylan.s only look good if you're wearing some slim or dylan. style pants too. I dunno, they seem too sleek and dress shoe-like to be wearing them with some baggy jeans, but I also haven't seen them in person yet.

anyone skated the classic lo or hi hufs yet?

yeah I got the los when they first came out, so I've been skating em for around a month?
a hole ripped open on the side within the first week from ollies which I sort of expected since the suede is so thin.
I cut a strip of suede out from an old pair of shoes and duct taped it inside to patch the hole and they've been skating great since.
the outsoles are starting to wear out.

Found these in my closet. Four years old, swapped the insoles out with some gel ones and they feel great.

The white/gum Busenitz ADV was on of the best shoes I've skated recently.
They don't only look great, but perform and feel the best!

How do you think they skate? I think they really feel like vulcs, but hold up a lot longer.

Trying to decide between these two for my next purchase:

Supra Hammer

Emerica Reynolds Vulc

Any advice, recommendations, or input?

Here's a link to a Ripped Laces review for the Hammer. I've been thinking about getting a pair recently too.
http://www.rippedlaces.com/2013/03/supra-hammer-review-with-nicasio-fernandez/

I tried the Reynolds vulc on and it seemed to fit kinda long and didn't seem to have very much insole support. Everything else about the shoe was really nice, just not as much support as some of the other Emericas I've had.

I was checking out a pair of Hammers this weekend. Tate posted a pair that he was flowed by Supra a few months back and I've been wanting to look at them. They seem like a nice shoe. They definitely felt good on my feet. I guess I just don't know about supporting Supra.

As for the Reynolds...Emerica shoes are always too long on me in my normal size. But then I try to go .5 down and they are too tight. It was that way with 3 different models. That Romero Troubador Mid was always a favorite of mine from a pure aesthetic level, but size wise it was always a no go.

Higher quality suede then a lot of other models, definitely in between a cup and a vulc so its pretty much perfect in that category. Also it doesn't have a super boxy toe which is the most important part of a shoe in my imo. I will skate the thinnest vulk or the craziest look cup sole as long as the toe isn't to boxy. That was my main gripe with the lucas, i thought the shoe looked really aesthetically pleasing but i couldn't get past that huge toe box.

just in case somebody is currently unsure about what shoe to get next, we reviewed the Emerica Romero Laced recently.

sorry about the shameless plug.
